I am a SC newbie this year, put the side together 2hrs before deadline. As such did not mark my emergencies so ended up with a squad of 19. On 1554 with Hansen, Lloyd, Reimers, Harvey and Houli to play. Adcock getting injured also cost me.
Im also on 2009...with Barlow in my side...and Proud as an emergency
Unfortunately I've only got one man left to play.

I did exactly the same thing - was tossing up between the two then had a gut feeling that Pav was gonna have a blinder..
I'm sitting on 1875 with Stanton, Houli and Scott Thompson to go, so i'll be happy with a 2000 - 2100 score for the first round.

1974 with four to play! =] i had johnno as captain, knew he would kill it and kick the winning goal(s).
i got:
stanton - should get about 100 with his penetrating kicks,
dyson - will rack em up, be happy with 80+
s thompson - dont expect much but 50 is good
n thompson - hopefully will kick about 3 which = 70 if het gets marks
projected outcome- 2200-2300 =]

My score reads 2216 with houli, s thompson and hansen (em tippett 54) to play. Is this a really good score, above avg or just ok?
So cut i chose Pav as captain, Johnno scored 182 ffs even J Brown, dal santo, cox and cornes who i all considered capt were all much better, i chose the worst of my 5 options.
9 100+ scores seems so good and captain is not one of them until doubled.

Im having the worst possible start. 1462 with Lovett Murray, Houli, Dyson and S. Thompson to come My friggin midfield killed me this week so far. Johnstone and Embley had shockers!

definitely a great score; though this round, the winner would probably be scoring somewhere in the 2500s i reckon. (i'm only in the 2100s with only Houli left. 10 players scoring 100+, including the captain makes 11 with 100+... but not even close to top).
i also can't believe you chose Pav as captain when you had Cox, Dal Santo (SC gun) and Johnno (300th game - obviously he's gonna play well) to choose from.
Up untill the last 5mins Johnno would have proven an average choice. Obvious?
well, the guy is usually consistent with high scores, and i usually count on a great player to play great on a big milestone game. the only reason i didn't choose him as my captain was because it was against the Crows, and picking him would mean i would want him to do well.
