Yep. But SA have had two bowlers who've looked like a consistent threat this game in Grant and McAndrew, and they aren't going to win games if they can't take wickets. They need another threatening bowler otherwise they'll struggle to take 20 wickets consistently.
Read on cricket.com that Dogget's back is stuffed so don't know how long he'll last!!

All over. No declaration.. no exciting finish. Both captains have called off the bat fest. Good riddance. Boo to boring draws. Boo to a shocker pitch. Boo to CA.

Next match on tomorrow in Brissie. Another suburban ground deck. Hope this one has some grass and life.

Not much could have been done about this particular pitch.

Too early in the season for cricket in Adelaide. Hasn't been enough sunshine so the squares haven't got a good covering of grass and the decks don't harden up properly. Low, slow flatty. Inevitable.

However... the decks later in the season at Karen Rolton have been similar. Will watch with interest as the season rolls on.

I know it has been an ongoing point of contention between coaches and groundstaff.

Interesting that Tom Cooper in his commentary said that before every game the curator (Trent Kelly) assures them it will have a bit of life in it but it never turns out that way.

Thought David Grant bowled well this game even though his figures weren't spectacular.

Bit quicker than last year. Looks to have filled out and sustained his pace through his spells. Looking forward to him bowling somewhere on a pitch with some life.

Worrall looked a bit unthreatening.

Head at slip off Cartwright on about 35
Ahh ok. He dropped a couple this game and one in the one dayer.

Not a slips fieldsman's arsehole.

Losing Tom Cooper might not affect our batting much but he was an excellent slip catcher

I might be a little harsh but a good slip fielder like White or Cooper would have swallowed it
