That's a shame, he was looking very impressive.

Any idea on the severity of his groin injury, really hope it's not OP or anything. Rotten luck for him, as IIRC he's had a limited pre-season due to an ankle injury.

Sorry Macca, haven't heard anything since Sat. He did take himself off and just looked a tad proppy, it wasn't like a tear, just a tweak or strain. To my knowledge he isn't listed on the club's website injury status, so I would say it is probably just keeping him from running out matches well at this stage.

thanks for that Gilly.

Hope he gets a run with the Bullants this weekend along with Stevo.

Heard somewhere a while back that Ash Hockey was playing at the Bullants this year. I liked him and thought he was fairly unlucky not to get picked up last year (although I wasn't too surprised). Anyway, have you seen him play at all this year? If so how's he gone?

I only saw the last half this Saturday just gone and spent more time chatting to people and catching up than watching the footy......didn't notice if Ash played or not. Totino wasn't out there so might have played in the reserves this week.

I think most Bullants watchers would say Jamo is a great kick.

He was often the linkman defender last year.

Not sure what has happened recently but he was a very good kick last year.

Except on his left where he cant kick for nuts.

That's ok... neither can Murph

Where does this myth come from?

He doesn't have a huge kick but he hits targets more often than not. Silvagni wasn't the greatest kick either and he was one of the greatst players I've ever seen.
Why jump to conclusions by assuming I don't rate him because he can't kick?

This pre-season Jammo's kicking hasn't been all that great - please tell me I'm not the only one who's noticed lol

Assuming Hammer and Setanta unavailable

B. Carazzo Jamison Thornton
HB. Grigg Waite Scotland
C. Simpson Gibbs Stevens
HF. Houlihan Hartlett Hadley
F. Betts Fevola Edwards
R. Cloke Judd Murphy

Please god, not Bannister.

My side round 1.

Bannister (N.Brown) Setanta (Bitcho) Grigg (Deledio)

Scotland (Morton) Waite (Polak) Thornton (Pettifile)

Betts (King) Fevola (Bowden) Kreuzer (Thursfield)

Cloke (Simmonds) Judd (Johnson) Carrazzo (Foley)

INT
Hadley (Coughlan) Jamison (Raines) Bower (Polo) Bentick (Moore)

EMERG
Edwards Armfield

My side round 1.

Bannister (N.Brown) Setanta (Bitcho) Grigg (Deledio)

Scotland (Morton) Waite (Polak) Thornton (Pettifile)

Simpson (Tivendale) Stevens (Tuck) Murphy (Tambling hehe)

Gibbs (McMahon) Hartlett (Schultz) Houlihan (Newman)

Betts (King) Fevola (Bowden) Kreuzer (Thursfield)

Cloke (Simmonds) Judd (Johnson) Carrazzo (Foley)

that is asking for trouble! deledio is no pansy!

for me:

B: Bower Jamison Thornton
HB: Scotland Waite Carrazzo
C: Simpson Stevens Gibbs
HF: Hadley Hartlett Houhlihan
FF: Edwards Fevola Betts

R: Hampson Judd Murphy

B: Cloke Grigg Pfieffer Armfield/Kruezer

According to cfc website Hampson will be ok for round 1, so i doubt Kruezer will get a spot.

Mine looks a little bit different to most.

B: Bower Jamison Bannister
HB: Hadley Waite Thornton
C: Simpson Stevens Houlihan
HF: Gibbs Hartlett Judd
FF: Edwards Fevola Murphy

R: Hampson Scotland Carrazzo

I: Cloke Grigg Jackson O'Hailpin/Bentick

Assuming Hampson is ok to go for Rd 1. O'Hailpin and Bentick for the last spot depending upon fitness.

If Judd is only about 60% I'd start him off a HFF with some smaller stints in the midfield. Betts probably doesn't get a berth on team balance and pre-season form. Murph can play that role rotating through the midfield. Scotland, Carrazzo and Stevens add some clearance grunt to the centre bounces. Hoops and Gibbs interchangeable on the wing/HFF. Like Hoops on the wing for his delivery to the forwards. As for the back six, perhaps give Jamo first crack at Richo, if Santy is fit he can act as a back-up plan off the bench. I prefer Thornton off HB rather than the BP more than most as he can be a bit more creative from there. Hadley and Bannister add some versatility close checking and experince. Bannister to pick up Brown. Deledio is the concern, so might have to tweak the exact match-ups a bit. Perhaps give Pauly Bower a crack. If we aren't getting enough run out of defense I would whack Simpson across HB and bring Jacko or Hadley onto a wing. If Edwards is struggling to get into the game it might be interesting to see how Grigga goes up there. Although he has mainly played down back in the pre-season he did look dangerous when going forward in the U18 champs.

Some Richmond fans were questioning the potency of our forward line, just fixed that up :)

brown would destroy armfield......... just to nimble, experienced, SMART
It will be interesting to see, but this word hasn't been used for Brown since he broke his leg. I'd back Armfield to keep up with him for pace. Experience and smarts......sure, but when the opponent wears you like a glove what are you going to do?;)

A few weeks back at training Eddie Betts took 6 or 7 marks against Armfield in a forwards v defenders marking drill that didnt involve leading.

Ever since Armfield has played midfield in practice/Nab matches.

I think the MC no longer consider DA a defensive option at this stage of his development

This is a DT question, so if I've missed the thread, I apologize.

Adam Hartlett - is he going to play atleast the first 5-10 games? He looks to be in all your lineups for round 1.

We would all like him to and realistically he could slot straight into the team and make CHF his own.

However he is very injury prone so may be a bit risky to pick. Hopefully he'll play quite a few games this year. Even still, I don't see him as much of a fantasy player.
