Yeah, clearly an errorI’m assuming there’s a typo and they have WHE instead of Jamie…
WHE would need to watch himself. He is coming out of contract in 2022. He may start becoming a fringe player if he isnt careful

I agree with most, but Roughy is a 100% walk up and will be until he retires or someone is ready to replace him.Last year's pre season was an FN dumpster fire that spilt into the season proper So it's no wonder we had a bad year. Despite that we were very competitive against Brisbane, Port, the Dogs and we were the only team that Melbourne didn't beat, so there's hope, especially when you consider that the mood around the club this pre season will be a lot more upbeat off back of significant positive change.
At this stage I don't think we have 22 players who are walk up starts. Some are but I believe the rest of the spots are up for grabs, which is good, because you want competition for spots.
Here's my line up. Bolded players are walk up starts. The rest will be competing with others for their spot.
FB: Maynard Roughead Crisp
HB: Ruscoe Moore Quaynor
C: J Daicos Pendlebury Sidebottom
HF: Mihocek Cameron Elliott
FF: Henry Kreuger McCreery
Foll: Grundy DeGoey Lipinski
Int: N Daicos Adams Poulter Macrae
Others in the mix: Ginnivan, Kelly, WHE, Murphy, Madgen, Howe, Noble, Johnson, McInnes, Bianco

Plus BeggWell I did put him in the line up and almost bolded him. But he's getting towards the end and we have a number of promising talls on the list like Kelly, Krueger, Johnson & Cameron who could push him out. We might even see Checkers go down back with Kelly, Johnson, Cameron and Kreuger battling it out for the three tall forward spots. Jeremy Howe is also another tricky one to get a gauge on but I've got Ruscoe slightly in front of him.
Plus Begg
I'll re-evaluate this when pre-season starts. Probably christmas break.
Howe. Roughy.Maynard
Crisp.Moore.Quaynor.
WHE. Adams. J.Daicos
Henry.Mihochek.Sidebottom
Ginnivan.Krueger.Elliott'
Grundy.De Goey.Lipinski
N.Daicos. Cameron.Pendles. McCreery
Sub: Bianco
have a better idea of positions when pre-season starts next month. Hard to know at this point what position Nick plays. I have him at half back, easing him into his career. Or do you push him into the midfield from day 1? It's an complexing situation.

Fair point, but you could stay the same for anyone over 30. The younger guys don't really play Rough's position. Maybe Keane? Unless they develop Kelly into a FB.I thought of Begg but at 19 he's probably not strong enough to hold down a key defensive post. However, he might be able to play forward and allow another tall to take Roughie's spot down back. I also added Madgen to my post as someone who could push Roughie out. But again I do have Roughie in the line up at this stage but with his age and the fact that we are looking to re-build I think he'll have a bit of competition for his spot.
Great point, utility/backline depth.
Others mentioned Kreuger - I think we should try an Eagles-style three tall setup with Mihocek as the third. Obviously this mgiht not be what McCrae goes with but I'd love to see it tried. Elliott, Henry and McCreery can put on a lot of forward pressure.

Begg said he will be playing forward. We don't really have a standout FB that's putting their hand up to take his place yet.
Who will play 2nd ruck?I could see Cameron playing in Roughie's spot They're similar types, both very tall KPPs. Roughie has more experience and composure but Cameron has him covered for athleticism. I could see Cameron leaping over packs to get a defensive first to the ball and he has the size to play on gorillas.
Not sure. But if Cameron can rotate through the ruck from CHF could he do it from full back?Who will play 2nd ruck?
Ruscoe slightly in front of Howe? You are joking, my friend?Well I did put him in the line up and almost bolded him. Howe and Roughy walk up starters for me, Ruscoe or Noble for the 7th defenderWell I did put him in the line up and almost bolded him. Collingwood enjoyed a quietly impressive Trade Period. It added Pat Lipinski, who should be an automatic starter in its midfield, while Nathan Kreuger will provide key-position depth in the forward line. He could vie with Darcy Cameron for a spot in the team over the summer. Mason Cox has previously been a regular, but played only seven games in 2021 and remains without a contract for next season. He has subsequently been kept out of the 26-man squad for the time being. Expect young trio Trent Bianco, Caleb Poulter and Finlay Macrae to battle for the final midfield spots throughout pre-season. Father-son prospect Nick Daicos should be a best-22 player, but has not yet formally arrived at the club. - Riley Beveridge

I don’t know if Mcreerys kicking is good enough to come out of the backline…B: Howe - Roughead - McCreery
HB: Quaynor - Moore - N Daicos
C: Crisp - Adams - Sidebottom
HF: J Daicos - Mihocek- Henry
F: Cameron - Kreuger - Elliott
R: Grundy - Lipinski - DeGoey
Int: Maynard - Stengle - Pendlebury - Macrae
Emergency: Poulter - Bianco - Ginnivan - Kelly
Maynard off the bench but playing midfield. If Stengle joins I think McRae may look at McCreery’s skill set and like him down back which his pressure and run. Crisp as a defensive wing to provide cover for the defense but will run up and down all day
Just something different.
Couldn’t find room for some I really like such as Poulter and Ginnivan and established players like WHE.
