If Thornton goes to Robbo, which I think he will, will certainly mean that Teague will take Miller.

Not so sure about McGrath on Davey. Carrazzo has had some good games on Davey and would be the ideal matchup. Perhaps McGrath could run with Cam Bruce, just in an attempt to keep his impact down to a minimum.
I'm not so sure Tbird is the right match up for Robertson. I think Robbo might be a little quick for him. Why not try Bannister? Yes, its a little from left field, but he's got the pace ang height go with Robbo and has been playing well down back for the Bullants.

Melbourne will potentially have Neitz, Miller, Holland and Robertson as big targets up forward at different stages.

Neitz = Livo
Miller = Tbird
Holland = Whitnall
Robertson = Bannister
Davey = Carrazzo

Personally, I'd prefer to take a punt on Bannister than to see Teague battle away against either Robertson (again) or Miller.

Saddington could be the dark horse, as he played OK with the Bullants on the weekend by all reports.

I'm not worried about Miller. A salad & egg roll could do the job on him.

Best we keep our top defenders on their top forwards I reckon.

Hartlett and Setanta won't be play and I just hope it isn't a blowout.
Didn't realise both were injured:mad:
Would probably like to see Livingston given a chance then as this is his make or break year. Possibly DeLuca as well although with French & McLaren already playing perhaps one tall too many. Saddington maybe a late inclusion I hear which would be great addition:thumbsu:
Sunday can't come quick enough!

Teague will towel Miller and McGrath will get davey for sure, he is our vest tagger and Carrazzo is better at finding the footy.

Whitnall the Janitor, mopping up all the mess down back and sending it back
Sorry but I think Miller would kill Teague, he would be too quick and too strong for him. The only question would be as I would think Carlton will see Miller as our least threatening forward so would it be possible that Whitnall would head to him and play off him?
The way I see it Miller has to start kicking goals and really hurting the opposition since the best rebounder for our opposition usually takes him these days.

With Neitz, Robertson and Davey, I don't think you need Miller kicking a lot of goals. Sure it would help, but he is at his best on those long searching leads from Half Forward.

If Whitnall takes Miller, then you'd be able to funnel a lot of forward moves through him, as Whitnall will be trailing him and zoning off a lot to compensate for his lack of pace.

I prefer the ideal of Whitnall taking Holland.

Murphy will play, he better, Russell has big wraps and would love to see him also, wouldn't mind to see Hartlett cause he can play, tough kid.

Setanta is going to be a gun, I would love to see him play all 22 games and kick a few bags cause he has talent to burn. The blues are starting to look alright, just need a couple of the young backmen to come on quickly to give Thornton a hand.

I have been a bit busy this week and it will continue for the next few days. So I will not be posting on here until next week.

I will write something detailed on the match on Sunday and have it up on Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning for anybody who does not have Fox Footy or who cannot attend the game.

Good luck for the Blues. I think its a good time to be playing Melbourne and think it will be fairly close.
