Barlow's taller, and hasn't Grundy been rubbish in defense in the past?

He's slightly taller but a lot lighter so is not suited to playing on the kind of power forwards that the saints have. While I haven't been impressed with Grundy's form as a defender Roos obviously sees a role for him down back and I reckon his inclusion is solely based on St. Kildas height up forward.

Dont be surprised if Richards goes out and Barlow goes in !

I wouldnt be at all happy if that happened as the Swans need Richard's to help stop St Kilda's tall forward line. Barlow is a good player but he isnt a out and out defender who you could trust to stop Gehrig scoring a bagfull of goals.

So, going by that Barry on Kosi?

I'd much rather Bolton on Gehrig, and Richards on Reiwoldt. Richards can match Reiwoldt in weight/height, and accelleration isn't much of an issue with his knee.

Barry isnt tall enough to play on Koschitzke. LRT is better option.

Agree Totally, LRt is the best option for Koschitzke. We have regulray struggled to match up on Gehrig, Richards would be out best bet provided he is FIT. Otherwise it will need to be Bolton. Whover we play though we must ensure that we limit effective service into the saints forward line.

Goodes will ruck a bit more than he does usually, getting more than just one or two hitouts a game. Grundy? I was thinking Richards and LRT to share, but they might have hands full with the Saints forward line.

So do we all agree that this is how they should match up.

Reiwoldt - C Bolton
Gehrig - Richards
Koschitzke - Roberts-Thompson

and Leo Barry plays as the loose man.

I'd have:

Gehrig - Bolton
Reiwoldt - Richards
Koschitzke - LRT/Grundy (when LRT is in the ruck)
Leo as loose man/pinch hitter up forward (ala Hunter)

I honestly dont know if Grundy even has any experiance in the Ruck but i really do think that both LRT and Richards are needed in defence and Grundy seems like the best option. I guess we could stick Hall in the Ruck and see what happens :D
