Has anyone got the March OptusVision Magazine?? I can't find my copy and am wondering if the Lions v Port game is live next Saturday night?

Any help will be appreciated.

Danni,

Channel 7 here are showing it on delayed telecast, so you should be able to get it free to air in Brisbane, shouldn't you?

And Carlton v Freo is being shown at 10.30pm. Is that live????

Chris - we will get a replay starting at either 9.30pm (quite unlikely), or at 11.45pm (could almost bet your life on that one) on Saturday night.

Ch7 Brisbane do not show any live Friday or Saturday night games. We get lovely movies like the Sound of Music (or something like it) on Saturday nights, and Friday nights we get replays of old 'Sabrina' episodes and 1950's/60's/70's B grade movies!

According to the Optus mag, C7 are showing live: Kangas v Essendon Fri 7:30 (not in Melb); Freo v Carlton Sat 7:30; Melb v Richmond Sun 2:00.

Danni,
Channel 7 are NOT showing the game at all on Saturday. Thats a 1st eh.Unbelievable.
Optus C7 has the Freo vs Carlton game on.
I will be again ringing Channel 7 today and the Courier Mail. Not that it will do anything.
How did the family day. We went past at 3.30, and there was no one there. The cricket was god awful boring, I did the knitting and fell asleep.Bring on the footy.
The things we do for kids eh.

Danni,
Just spoke to Channel 7 in Brisbane, the guys name was David Franklin.
I was told that they will not be showing any Live Lions matches of an evening this year.Under any circumstances.
When I asked why, he said they dont rate. When I asked why no coverage at all this Saturday night, I was told, we will never have any Lions coverage of an evening.
I said, but the Wizard of Oz, and Rugby Union, when the Rugby match isn't even the Queensland team, I was told thats what we are doing, no ifs buts or maybes.
How is that. It looks like a very very long year for us Queenslanders.
I rang the Lions they didn't even know. Then my boss rang the AFL media department, they were astounded. My boss has even emailed the AFL.
So if anyone wants to ring the AFL or find a name to call at Seven.
PLease help us long suffering AFL supporters up north.
Oh well, my little consumers of children are furious,no more Channel 7 for us.
We are talking with our flickers.
You are the weakest link channel 7. Goodbye.

Typical Channel 7. They wonder why they are running second in the ratings and never gain any ground on Channel 9.

No idea of marketing and head in the sand attitude to change. With a new product(in QLD)you have to build acceptance, brand loyalty and develop a market. Channel 10 did it with the basketball and persisted when it didn't rate and now they have a winner.

Perhaps it's just sour grapes. Anyone know where a failed program executive can get a job because that's the direction for David Franklin.

Channel 7 Brisbane are replaying the Lions game at 12NOON on SUNDAY for 2 hours prior to the 'match of the day' or so they just told me...........

Don't worry all you Lions supporters in Brissie you are not the only ones hard done by, I also love rugby league along with my afl and we league followers in Melbourne, especially Storm supporters, are treated the same way by Ch.9. So the roles are just reversed!!!
Cheers
Go Demons
Go Storm
