Port v WCE is usually on Good Friday or ANZAC round or some random public holiday night
We were supposed to play them ANZAC round last year in Adelaide (played them in Perth on ANZAC day the year before so it looks like it might be a tradition now) so its very likely they'll repeat the fixture next year, probably in Adelaide to make up for this years reschedule.

No way AFL wastes rivalry games in rd 1 when there is already a lot of eyes on the games as it's rd 1

In before they give Freo the Sunday afternoon spot round 1 because the AFL would rather make sure that Victorians can watch the game at a reasonable time rather than actually accomodate WA fans. No true WA footy fan actually likes the Sunday arvo spot.

Victorians are due a break next year after the lock down we had to endure, don't you think?
At least WA people could see their team live in 2020.

Games that start at 4:40 AEST start 2:40 in the West where as games start on Sunday at 3:20 in Melbourne nearly every week.

Exactly. All 10 Victorian teams, plus the Swans and Lions should be scheduled to play in Victoria in Round 1.
Agreed, should be an all Victorian round 1 fixture as a thank you gesture for Victorians who saw a grand total of zero games in 2020 (all times local):

Sat 20 Mar

GWS V Gold Coast - Giants Stadium 4:35pm
Brisbane V Sydney - GABBA 6:25pm
Port Adelaide V West Coast - Adelaide Oval 7:10pm

Last I checked, Victoria hosted the biggest game of the year (51k for SoO)
