Time to move on. Go with Pittonet for the rest of the season. Same with Simmo, he can on field coach in the twos. Take Dow and Fish with him.
Dow I can understand not being impressed by but what was wrong with fish and simmo? Others in the team that were well below those 2 in similar parts of the ground.

I think we struggled with the balance between defence and attack. Tigers got way too many cheapies out the back of packs all game.
Hodge was a subtle as a sledgehammer, we were laughing at the sniper once we cottoned onto the fact he was serious. He’s going to get really bent if we turn out any good.

Don’t really agree with the ‘taking their foot off the pedal’ statements from a few posters, it’s the first game of round one. Surely every team would go for the others throat and boost percentage from the outset. Thought our midfield got first use, mostly through Levi, and we ran for each other and were more intense at the contest, forcing the Tigers to kick and kick long, rather than handball, handball, handball.
Yours is a perfectly valid viewpoint. I thought the tigs relaxed for periods when they were far enough in front. Both could be correct.

Sorry for the intrusion all banter aside just want to say hopefully Kreuzer’s injury isn’t as bad as it looked and that he recovers well.

Was also great to see a talent like docherty back game has been poorer for his absence best of luck for the rest of the season but more importantly stay safe during this s**t situation with the virus

Defensive effort from Fisher, Dow, and Setterfield absolutely slaughtered us tonight. There were several stoppages where Lambert was left on his own, while Fisher was looking for the cheap one off to the side. Murdered his own side on the spread. Fix this ASAP.

Weitering, Cripps, and Martin are stars. Levi, Jack, and McGovern fought well. SPS as classy as ever. Welcome back, Doch <3.

They weren't doing enough defensively, and Dow & Setterfield in particular did basically nothing offensively. 7 & 6 disposals respectively...piss poor from high draft pick mids who are now in their 3rd & 5th years.

Walsh efficiency give it a rest...stop reading those who want to drag him down. He's played 20 odd games of afl. Murph who has played over 200 missed targets. We need the dows fishers setters etc to improve otherwise we'll go no where. And yes I love cripps but no need to give it to him every time he asks...we bleed goals constantly with this obsession

Richmond are full of hubris at the moment and the foundation of their game is always coming out and going at 100% ..and good on 'em for doing it...it worked again with a little help from umps in Q1...
We lost Kreuzer and never had Setterfield or Dow or much of Fisher either and Gibbons isn't a forward pocket...
So the team figured out a way to get relevant and Jack Martin stood tall and Levi was everywhere and SPS got back to his silky ways and played his game
Meanwhile Weitering was busy making Lynch look like a spud and Cripps was figuring out how to get ball and Docherty started running or kicking but making every decision perfect...by half way through Q3 Richmond weren't running as fast as they could in Q1 and hlf and some of our blokes actually started putting on some pressure - all over the park ..and the game turned...

Big mistake to think that Richmond put the cue in the rack.

I'd be interested to know what Teague and his crew make of Dow and Setterfield in particular...Murph will give himself a kick up his own arse.

Desperately need to add some mongrel to game plan in Q1 and keep it - not worried about Walsh at all or Jack ( ex the brain fart).

As for C7 commentary - despicable and embarrassing.

Time to step up Gov. 2 years ago Cas was being labeled as a filler until someone better came along. He pulled his finger and has become quite a pivotal utility. Gov came with a price on his head which we paid and he hasn’t done much to repay the faith.

In both cases they have been asked to play(out of necessity) as the main forward option when thats not what they are.Being the only talls in the forward line means they are double and triple teamed at times.

A lot of people writing players off after one game against the best team in the competition.

Fantastic debut by Martin.

Not just his goals, but ones he set up too.

And I think he'll be even more valuable once Harry and Charlie are back. He'll have marking targets to hit and he's very good at kicking to advantage.
Not to mention Eddie, these 2 will really rip teams apart with there smarts and goal assists.
