Uh oh, this potato got sufficiently fried, baked and mashed last night so we've got a bit of a late GDT to kick off our season. Thankfully, it's actually just reflective of our late, graveyard timeslot for Round 1, so it's all gravy baby.

It's the GWS metaphorical giants vs. the MFC literal giants today, with more talls than you could poke a tall stick at.

But there's a whole lot of debuting players players to get yourselves excited about! High draft picks Langford and Lindsay are ready to go immediately, old mate Jeffo is finally trusted at the level, the big bald wrecking ball is here to (hopefully) keep JVR out of the ruck, then we have a couple of little blokes in Sharp and Henderson that will be keen to finally experience some epic CONTEST and DEFENCE.

GWS are a mighty orange beast and MFC are currently a question mark. But, with GWS having a few key players out and Melbourne threatening us with a good time for once, anything can happen.

Let's see what our season holds in store.
