Roos by a couple of goals.

I think Shannon Grant is the key to the game... if he gets on top early we're in for a good one... He had a terriffic start in the Wizz Cup, and hopefully he can continue that.

Alot of my mates are going to the game... I think a big crowd will show up, maybe around 40-45K.

Shannon Grant???
you're sh! ttin us?

the key's to the game are all carlton players (Stevens, Whitnall, Fevola, Lappin etc). If the Blues fire they will beat the r00s by 40+ points.
The only thing going for the r00s is they usually start the season well. and may play above themselves.

Stevens,Whitnall,Fev,Lappin,Campo and Houlihan is all you have, so dont get too carried away as the others are rejects from other clubs.Pagan is the man holding it together for you but even he might not have enough miracles to keep you up and running all year. You may beat us this first round but we will slaughter you in round 22 when we make the finals and Carlton are in the bottom 4 where you belong.

kangaroos will be bottom 4 and we wont be. we will be 8th if were lucky but probably 9th 10th

Well we did win today, so your predictions are worthless as you are already behind the 8 ball.
Carlton are rabble!!!!!!

Rabble my arse. They had no backline and we shut Fev down. That isn't going to happen every week. Tis only round 1

My first game of the year so my first review of the year.

The main positive that can be taken out of the game is that we played such a poor game and didn't get blown away and north played very well.

As for particular players,

Walker-injured

Morrell-Tried his best all day and should be given credit for that, but we all know he was never going to beat Sav who was just too big, too strong and too quick.

Livingston-Thought he played well when he was on the ground, only got outmuscled once by Rocca. Hopefully he will be back soon.

Davies- Thought he was very wasteful with his oppurtunities today, surprised he got in the best players.

Whittnal- I'll let him off today, copped Firrito's elbow right in his jaw about 7-8 metres behind the play elbow not tucked in, struggled for the rest of the game.

French- Played a great game today, he really was sensational, Dominated the hitouts all game. Especcially liked his sweeper roll on north kickouts.

Lappin-Didn't have a great game for mine. Yes he stopped several North attacks but that's nothing special for him he does that every week. But today it was his decision making Why would you (More than once) Kick to a one on three contest when Fev was in lala land all game?

Teague- Solid as usual, would have preferred to see more run out of defense though.

Camporeale-Struggled all day under Rawling's tight tag. At training Denis needs to plonk David Clarke on him for practise.

Betts-Looked great when he come on, Kicked a few lovely snaps and set up a beautiful guy. Take my word he is a smart Footballer.

Mcgrath-Did very well, would take keeping wells to under 20 any day and was one of the few blues players who used the ball well.

Stevens-Went missing in the middle 2 quarters, was a victim of great North planning.

Fevola- Played poor today, Everyone is going on and on about how well Brown played on him. It wasn't Brown at all it was all Colbert. Poor coaching from Denis meant he could just play 2 on 1 against Fev the last 3 quarters. Fev was never going to win this battle.

De luca- Send him back to the VFL, hasn't done anything in the preseason and only a couple of quarters under his belt isn't enough. His last quarter was poor and the only way he should be played back is in a loose man role.

Prendergast- Wss great especially his marking, which surprised me. Should push forward more often on his opponent.

Scotland- Didn't stop getting the ball all game. Shouldn't be in the best because of DVFL quality disposal and decision making displayed. He's much better than that.

Waite- Yes he may be super strong be needs to lift his Aerobic capacity. Kicking needs to be better as well.

Bannister- (See Prendergast) needs to improve kicking and should take on his opponents more.

Houlihan- Got 15 disposals, wasn't his usual self today. Would like to see him run more with the ball.

Sporn- Was graet today, When it was his turn to go he went. Come end of the year will be a star. Needs to be more offensive though.

Kouta- You all saw how good he was yesterday. Although bad decision making cost us two goals.

Carrazzo- Preety much gone from TAC cup being all offense to AFL being all defense. Would like to see him play more in the midfield.

Very good summary Teagueeeey15. I thought that Digby played quite well considering the ball spent so much time in our attack. With a few injuries to your key defenders, hopefully Diggers can play hold down a key position for you.

Colbert does what Teague does, which is float across the hole in front of an opposition key forward. That said, you're disregarding Brown's game, and he beat Fevola in a number of one on one contests.

I have to disagree with you about Teague, he always plays one on one and has "Touch" on his opponent at all times. Like ALL defenders he will leave his man during the match but mainly doesn't.

Great work Abaddon!!!

Hmmm Carlton arent all they are cracked up to be now are they?

Fevola was dis-interested... absolutely flogged by a class defender/utility is Leigh Brown.

Camporeale (ccksucker) had no impact, and Stevens and Houlihan were soft as melted butter esp. Houlihan.

I have great respect for Teague and Livingsto, the rest, haha.
