I've just seen on Fox Footy teams, Bird and Moore named as emergencies. McVeigh listed in team (Roosy you haven't let us down - unbelievable). What do those two have to do to get a start - maybe change your name to McVeigh.

In a mag. interview for The Daily Telegraph, Leo said that this year will be one of breakout for McVeigh. I'm a bit sceptical about it, but what harm can it have to wait a couple of rounds into the year without bagging him for a bit.

Who knows, he's young, he's fit, he may just have his breakout year.

Jack and Bird have also more than likely secured a spot for rd. 1 due to their pre season form making them along with Moore almost impossible to be overlooked.

In regards to the game I feel that with Maguire out and Hudghton underdone and likely to also miss we must get it in quickly to our key forwards. Otherwise players such as Gram and the Clarke brothers will be able to drop back into space and provide damaging rebound from our F50.

I think at the moment it's only squad selections for Saturday games, any selection of the interchange is conjecture.

Jesse White was also there, starting in the forward pocket, I think I saw Bird, Jack and Barlow all in the interchange with brabazon and a few others.

I know. Its like 2007 all over again. Bird hasn't been too flattering either. Too many free kicks given, thanks Jolly. I don't think the surgery worked on Baz but we'll wait and see what'll happen in the second Q.

Yeah he has, only 3 touches I think and hasn't been too effective as we all hoped. Goodes, has been awfully quiet and haven't had much of the Sherrin tonight, quite disappointing really.

Though we came back in the second quarter there are a few players who should really step up. Hall's surgery so far has proven a failure. Missed a couple of goals and was unlucky to not get a free kick after getting hit on the head. O'Loughlin has been quiet all night and so too Davis though he has a few touches. Our forwards must step up in the next half.

However, I felt that Jack, Moore, O'Keefe, Mattner, Kennelly and Richards have so far played pretty well. Especially Jack, with that awesome kick on the left foot which hit sweetley onto Baz's chest was the highlight for me. Also, his bump on Xavier Clarke was awesome too. O'Keefe has been solid throughout the night although he dropped a bit towards the end of the 2nd Q. Mattner, Moore, Kennelly and Richards have plenty of touches and have been so far, quite effective.

I hope that the 2nd half will be 10 times better than the first half. So far, it has been a disappointing start to the season.
