Please explain? If you mean the COLA, it was an unfair, but not cheating. Cheating is only when you break the rules....refer to the 'Australian' cricket team as exhibit 1

There was dodgy accounting at the Lions at least, but the AFL didn't want to know about it.

I can't give you any evidence, but I have my sources.

I think you missed the point entirely. If the ball is loose and Betts is down and not flying then he is in position to take it away. Essendon only took it away because Gov JJ AND Eddie flew
My biggest point was Why do we applaud Fog and Gov for there High Flying and Crashing the Pack when most times it benefits our opposition.
Look at the replay of the leaps and crashes, notice where our smaller forwards have set up. yet when they smash the pack the ball is directed away from our smaller forwards. Too me it the same as Jacobs winning the Taps but pushing it down the opposition throats allowing them first touch. A Few knock JJ but in those pack marks situations if the ball is not marked it is 50/50. and sometimes favours our smaller forwards.
Crash and bash look good make us all remember the old days, It makes us feel our players are hard and tough but does it work in today game.

It does if our players could hold onto those marks. Big strong forwards take the big marks.

Richmond put two players on him in the GF and took him out of the equation pretty easily. The way to beat us has become pretty clear.

Yes and no. If that’s the case then why can’t every team do it? Knowing isnone thing, executing is another.

One thing - I didn't notice the surface at all. That's not a bad result given the concert.

It will be interesting just how much impact hard surface has on the players legs. It is a short turnaround and the Tigers did have an extra day too in a far much easier match.

This means the small forwards are in the wrong spot

Or in the case of when Fog crashes a pack deep in the forward line, Jenkins crumbs and gives it off to Gibbs (I think) who goals.

It is always a time and a place. Deep forward we need Gov and co to crash the pack, up on the wing in a two on one, not so much.

Unless we have more than 4 small forwards, to cover 360 degrees.
Our small forward would be told to place themselves in certain areas, However, both Gov and *** let the ball thru the back Essendon set themselves up from behind the play.
Watch on Thursday when JJ, or Jacobs contest a high percentage of the ball hit the ground forward of the play, Sometimes you see them push the ball towards a small.
Old school Football if you cannot mark the ball make sure it falls to your team's advantage. Forward work on dropping the ball at there feet. defender work on punching it outside. In AFL it's more refined.
