Sloane was the only one putting his body on the line in that last quarterAnother day, another choke.
Sloane invisible when it mattered.
Played some nice football at times, but poor signs for our mental state in the battles ahead.

That last qtr was bomb with no composure and **** all forward 50s.Did you see the service blokes in the forward line were getting? Awful
I have been there. Don’t stress it is life balancing itself.Missing: my passion for the game. I don't think I got nervous. I spent most of the last quarter wondering if I should be.

Depth is fine. Take 5 of your best dozen players out of any side and watch them struggle. When it’s all said and done, Round 1 means 2/5ths of **** all when it’s finals time.
Doedee and Fog looked pretty good so that’s a big positive.
Our depth isn’t actually that good.
None of this matters until we win a flag.
Tex will be extremely rusty. It was clear we ran out of legs. The extra 3 weeks 100% helped them.
No lynch and walker that's for sure. I think they will both play next week
When you lose in a GF like we did it’s harder to care about any regular season games. Until we get back to the big dance none of it matters.Missing: my passion for the game. I don't think I got nervous. I spent most of the last quarter wondering if I should be.

Out (in order): CEY, Murphy, Greenwood, Fog, Hampton
In: Tex, Lynch, BCrouch, Gibson, Knight
Each of those 5 starred at moments but were a liability or shit at others. Our linkup looked shit without Lynch and we lacked pace and endurance. Played like a team of youngsters that ran out of legs in the last. Shame, we were 20points up and it was our for the taking. Could see it coming from a mile away....
Quicker to name the ones who aren't in strife? Here is the list of players under scrutiny:
Douglas - awful, slow, can't take a clean grab
Atkins - soft, second guesses himself, way too outside
Greenwood - underdone, should never have been the emregency
Ellis-Yolmen - first half he was useless, second half had errors
Mackay - doesn't have the body for AFL
Hampton - unimpressive before getting injured, lacks confidence
Jenkins - still not committing himself to every contest
McGovern - can't get his hands on it
Betts - can't get his hands on it
Murphy - largely invisible
Jacobs - hasn't learned from the grand final
Sloane - struggled under intense pressure
Gibbs - poor first half, lots of meaningless touches
I saw enough times when he was out marked one on one. Right now he is a third forward. Fogarty was more likely to bust a pack.Did you see the service blokes in the forward line were getting? Awful
It's better to be pessimistic. Therefore, if the unexpected happens, you're pleasantly surprised rather than being left bitterly disappointed.Geebus,
get a far king grip you lot. We are massively underdone. There were 4 or 5 playing tonight that were just not ready. Plus, we are missing 4-5 very good players.
Look for positives instead of losing your shit!!!
Isn’t B Crouch out till mid year? Osteoitis?Out (in order): CEY, Murphy, Greenwood, Fog, Hampton

Going to be a solid month until we get decent numbers back, and we have Port and 9th-mond in that time. We could very well be 1-2 or 0-3 based on how we played tonight.
