Hello fellow posters,

I've just looked at our fixture for next year and I see that we will play the Kangaroos in round 1. However, it is marked as an Kangaroos home game.

Isn't it standard practice that the reigning premier have first game of the season designated as a home game so that they can raise the premiership flag.

I know this system has happened for as long as I can remember (not that very long) but it has changed for next season.

It has happened before, the Hawks copped it a few times in the eighties, the most galling being 87 and playing at (then home ground) Princes Park, only for them to give it as Carltons home game.

Patently it sucks. One of the best feelings in the world is the unfurling of the previous seasons flag. Maybe you Dons fans should get a petition up and get your C.E.O to try and change it. Im sure theres time enough before the new season begins to give it a shot.
