Average was an understatement. Sam would not be happy with the drop off across the board. They are actually an outside chance of pulling off a win as they have their tails up here which we have allowed to happen IMO. Poor decision making everywhere.Essendon were much better that quarter. Ran it harder from half-back and Phillips gave our rucks a bath around the ground with his marking. We also fumbled and turned the ball over a lot more than the first half, perhaps attributable to Essendon’s increased effort. But I’m talking missing easy 15 metre kicks, it was poor.
Luckily DGB was an absolute wall. Killed 90% of the contests he was involved in by either taking the mark of getting a good fist. Unfortunately, if he wasn’t involved in the contest Essendon would often get a scoring shot. BH defenders are fumbling a lot.
Surprisingly Reeves also did some good defensive work with two or three nice marks. Needs to lift when he's rucking though.
Thought Callow looked decent with limited chances & Saunders has some poise on the wing. But most BH & Hawthorn listed players have been pretty average this quarter.
i dont think theres much wind todayAt Windy Hill, do we have the wind at the last quarter?
Seeing him standing next to Hartigan was kinda funny, ngl.Got my first clear look at DGB as he was coming off. Arms are still skinny but he's put on a good amount of size across the chest.
He is going to be an absolute starDGB Diving intercept mark, brilliant
