On the philosophical argument. I think retrospectively all moments are equal but in the thrust of a game in the unfolding dying minutes each moment is amplified as there are less moments available in the future to influence the result. Actions towards the end of the game that impact scoreboard and momentum feel qualitatively more important and that's pretty normal in the same way that waking up on your wedding day is not the same as waking up any other day even though it's all objectively just waking up.
