Playing Dear in those conditions first game back was always bizarre to me, might’ve been the difference in the end.

Slow start cost us the game. Came back hard after quarter time but just gave them a gap early and it proved too hard to claw back.

Upside is we have plenty of improvement to come and quite a few of our best not playing.

That spark that was there in 2024 is gone. Its just so strange to go from such a smooth clean ball movement team to a scrappy mess. We have only really played connected football for a few of the 40qtrs we have played this season. We need to find a plan B because we are in danger of slipping into a mid-table team.

Have to admire the fight but ultimately had too much go against them and came up just short. Can't fault the endeavour though.

Went in expecting a loss and so not disappointed at all.

Thought we did awesome to hang in there.

Nash and/or Meek would have made a very big difference.

Ginnivan, Wiz, Chol all played rippers.
Newcombe's third was insane but they shut him down in the last.
Scrim an awesome game.

A lot to enjoy from that game.

Clearance needs work- Anderson Miller and Rowell just controlled it
Let them get too far in front early (umpire assisted) and had to work too hard to get back into it…
Pleased with the grit but the loss hurts

That last quarter free kick right in front against Scrim was an absolute disgrace in a close game…

Suns got the rub of the green and squeaked a victory. Plastic, soulless club that won't go far in September. Very confident that we have their measure when the whips are cracking.

Hope we take whatever lessons we learn from this and propel our season onwards.

Let's see how these campaigners do when they aren't playing in 30 degree heat in front of a crowd of 12,000.
