Omg the rapid rise of Ashanti Bush is making my head spin. Late contender for GOTY? Nothing late about it, Ashanti is always on time. (But Bannister's goal today should still win, conditions are a huge factor).

Kalinda Howarth went for that mark because she wears the no.23 like Lance Franklin, according to Kelli. Got nothing to do with the fact she has a great vertical leap.

Geelong would be filthy at North for messing that up.

Fortunately they'll get a chance to let them know what they think about it next week!

As annoying as it is, it's our own fault for relying on another result to get us into the top 4:

• we lost 3 matches across the season, 2 of them by less than a goal and the other by 12 points, with periods of dominance in each of them
• our first 4 matches were our lowest scoring of the season; positional changes followed and we looked a different team

So while today's result is slightly frustrating as a Geelong supporter, we need to make sure that in future we control our situation and don't rely on other results to go our way

Crocker with a little backhander in the presser about the fixture, good on him for using it as a positive saying the team is battle hardened for finals but it has taken a toll.

They really need to add more games, hopefully there’s less movement in between seasons with a bit more dough for the players now.
