Guernseys have begun to trickle out so I thought I'd put the thread up.

First, we have Adelaide, worn as a clash jumper in the AFLW:

Melbourne's jumper has also made an appearance as well.

Really like Melbourne's indigenous jumper and it won't clash with North Melbourne or Fremantle. I'm presuming the back of it is red?

would be cool to see every team change their name for the 2 weeks. Geelong had Djilang on the back of their guernsey for the last 2 years but would be good to see it on the logo

Does anyone know where Narm is specifically supposed to be? Ive never seen a reference more than maybe 5 years old...

There's acknowledging...

And there's just plain pandering.

Says the dude with the Trump meme in his profile description?

I reckon this is cool. It'll get kids asking questions and should start conversations about history and education. That can only be a good thing. The logo isn't the best from a legibility point of view though; the designs in between the letterforms just makes it look blurry tbh.

Under the plan, Melbourne would be given the dual name Naarm.

But Wurundjeri elder Ian Hunter, who has been involved with Indigenous culture for 30 years, says he’s “never heard of it”.

“It’s something some young people have come up with, I think. How do you have a name for something that doesn’t exist?,”

That’s not really an answer to the post. It’s just a link to a 3aw lightning rod article.

That said I’m happy to let the non-jumper based discussion continue ITT so long as it remains civil and respectful as it appears to have done so far

Ian Hunter has his own agenda, wouldn't listen to any of his views that differ from the Wurundjeri heritage council.
