Everyone needs to hound that campaigner on SEN on Monday morning. He just doesn't have it in him to admit we're a very good side. It's quite funny now.
For the past month Kane has said, “Ohhh I dunno if they’ll hold up at the end of the season, y’know because they’re old.” Even after giving the Pies credit

Surprised this hasn’t been mentioned.

But that last play is why we win so many games.
With 1:30 on the clock, we get a break from D50 and bruzzy….who could have gone to 55 and had a shot, stops and chips it to Pat.

No interest in having a shot. If he misses, we are not set up and offer the crows an attempt at going end to end.

The chip to pat takes another 30-40 seconds off the clock and its game over. Doesn’t matter what Pat does with the kick…,just take the full allotment of time.
That’s a pretty awesome level of game awareness when most players would pin the ears back and try and win it with a goal.

Kane has a few targets - the whole comment about the Crows forwards having a field day etc - that sets it up beautifully for him to have a crack at Walker. Cornes wants Walker retired. So Cornes will be pleased with yesterday's results.

Yze and Richmond - can't say much as Richmond have been good. So that door is shut.

Bevo - Dogs are on fire so that door is also shut.

St Kilda - that door is ajar so he might vent about that on Monday (depending on today's result).

But my guess is Cornes will be on the Crows cost themselves the game by selecting 3 tall forwards in those conditions.

I love the way we are going about it this season. The way we are able to win in different ways, and adjust our game in relation to the opposition we're playing or the conditions. This along with the management of our list, particularly the senior players, has been brilliant so far this season.

You couldn't be more dead eye than that

Loved the way Fly had a not so subtle swipe at Sam Mitchell and Hawkscum.
Said in the presser that in the MSD there are guys like Ned Long waiting there, who just need the opportunity to be believed in, and we take him on board. Now he is just such an important part of our team, due to the support and faith we have shown in him.
Don't think it was a swipe. Could say the same about John Noble or Caleb Poulter in reverse. It's more a generic comment.

That's all he comes up with. We're old and we might get injured. It's riveting stuff.
Yep, he does speak just for the sake of speaking, and when he makes a prediction, he never walks it back, so he keeps saying we will fall over due to injury and age, which is just ridiculous, especially given we are 8 - 2.

I think yesterday was our best win of the season, the Crows came to play and once we lifted the pressure after half time we hurt them on turnover and began to score much easier and blew the game open. It was also much different, no up and back and playing like millionaires on a dry day, just calm, methodical and slow down the line all the day, which meant we never looked like running out of legs. We also got to rest Lippa who had the flu all week for much of the game, so the result and the way we got through unscathed was perfect. The difference in the game was when they scored from turnover, it was off our clangers, a lot of our were created with our tackling pressure, which gives you more chances to score.

I love coming to this thread after a win and reading all the great stuff you posters post here.

I can’t add more to what has already been mentioned. What I will say, though, is that it’s okay not to be okay. Check-in on your mates and your close ones. Don't be afraid to reach out!

Side by side.

Jordan Lewis not wanting holding or dropping the ball in the goal square by the Adelaide player tackled by WHE shows you what kind of scumbag is calling games with his bias or hate towards us.

More than happy if Sully is the next man up.
Shows the depth we have now that didn’t exist in 22/23.

He’ll come in, play a role. Do it well.
For me, that’s a big tick.
The only knock on Sully is something he has no control over - that he's not a few cm taller.
That may be why it's taken him so long to get an opportunity, but now he's doing a great job when he plays.

He’s a f-wit with an agenda against us like his mate Hodge, but in that example I feel like there’s a gap in the rules or their interpretation. I like the common sense interpretation that landed us the free but technically the Adelaide defender purposely waited til last second to actually put his hands on the ball to avoid being deemed to have prior so an ump could use that to justify the call the other way.

We’ve def got an opportunity to rotate a few in the next few weeks and set us up for a more difficult last few weeks before finals.

We really did cop a top 4 team draw despite missing finals. Upside is will put us in good stead as we aren’t relying on easy wins to make it
That looks like Carloltons Groundhog Day recurring draw. I swear they’ve played some shit sides 3 times already this season.

I literally laughed at his shit call on that. Was one of the most clearly incorrect disposal call I’ve seen. Even other commentators said it was a free. That knobend still disputed the call. Hate listening to him on our games.

Watched the replay after getting home from the game & couldn't believe how many obvious frees they ignored during the commentary. That one in particular.

From our game and the others I have seen so far this weekend, the umpires have clearly been working on the high tackle rule. They have now decided that any high tackle is a free kick, as the rules mandate. The professional duckers and kneebenders are getting a free run, but the high tackle has to be reduced to a minimum. The AFL now have to deal with them, not by allowing high tackles on some players, as they did initially with Ginnivan, but by fining and then suspending those players that repeatedly cheat the system. It is bringing the game into disrepute. We got a poor run with these decisions this week, but I believe that the umpiring group have to persist with paying these. Post match penalties are the way to deal with it.

ha ha, probably you are right and it wasn't a swipe.
But you couldn't say the same about JFN and Caleb P.
JFN is fantastic with GC, but he was also with us.
Caleb P is not really transforming his game in the way Ned Long has.
While you are most likely correct in thinking Fly was not deliberately sending a stinger to Mitchell, it objectively was!!
