4 changes for da bloooz.

maybe a good sign for us? Although we will probably make jsut as many changes.

To me it seems like no matter what changes we make or they make or whatever players take the field the main problem our guys have when we play in Melbourne is the fact it is in Melbourne.

We look scared when we play there - Hopefully they just say "Ferk this!" and fire up - win or lose at least have a crack.

And now the guessing game of how many positional changes we'll see on night.

What's that site were you can move the names around like a magnet board?

Yeh for Swifty :thumbsu:

Kerr will probably be spending the entire night under packs now that Priddis and Cockie are out, I dont see any other midfielders capable atm. Good to see Stinga is back in I think he still has a place in the side, gee its a young side though, we keep getting younger every week. This is the first week that I havent been excited about our lineup, If Pridda and Cockie were in Id be more positive but the midfield just looks too young and under developed to really take it up to Carlton in the clearances.

Hopefully Carlton go all out attack, I think we have looked a better team when were up against an attacking side.

I can see the opposite - A whole bunch of inside type mids who can get the ball but cant do a lot with it - not many finishers in that midfield.

Looks like Stinga and Selwood might rotate on Judd and try to run off him.
Judd has been superb this year, and really can't be shut out of a game for 4 quarters. I think our best chance to nullify him is if Selwood can kick some goals like Jarred McVeigh or Daughty. At least that keeps him slightly accountable.

Swapsies :p Just for larfs. I wanna see Big Mitch up forward.

I actually don't mind this team. I'm really happy Swift is getting his rewards for his hard work. Let's hope they have a serious crack tomorrow night and not a limp wristed ****y effort like last week. I'm glad LeCras is back as we really missed him last week. This is a winnable game and would keep us in contention and would really damage the Blues chances for this year!

Wow  look at the forward Match ups so far !!!! We would Kill them if this is wher the game is decided.

C: Kade Simpson, Bryce Gibbs, Aaron Joseph
C: Andrew Embley, Daniel Kerr, Matt Rosa

The Centre Line looks to be even.

Foll: Matthew Kreuzer, Chris Judd, Marc Murphy
Foll: Dean Cox, Adam Selwood, Chris Masten

They have the Centre square advatage but we have the ruck Advantage.

HF: Ryan Houlihan, Brad Fisher, Mitch Robinson
HB: Mark Nicoski, Eric Mackenzie, Shannon Hurn
F: Setanta O’hAilpin, Brendan Fevola, Eddie Betts
B: Mitch Brown, Darren Glass, David Wirrpanda

I would Say we have the advantage here with a more settled Defence.

I/C: Steven Browne, Jeff Garlett, Shaun Hampson, Jordan Russell
Int: Brad Ebert, Jamie McNamara, Ben McKinley, Tyson Stenglein

Definate advantage to us here in ability.

So going on these match ups and listed teams ON PAPER we are stronger the the blues and should WIN, But if that was always the case there would never be any upsets would there.

Same as usual then.

Same as usual as in we have never had a problem actually getting the ball but using it is another story.

I havent seen anything of Swift but what Ive heard he could add a bit of class and flair to the side which will be good.

Mabye in a few years, I dont think Masten, Ebert, Swift, Mcnamara, Scooter will be able to match it with the ball winners at Carlton just yet though and Embley and Rosa certainly aernt going to do it A.Selwood and Kerr are the men. Your also right about the finishers, Swift is the unknown quantity and A.Selwood and Kerr will be clearing.

Its all about the senior players with the 50+ games though... if they dont show up to play again then the kids wont have a chance.

Last year I was really impressed with the way McNamara was smashing into packs and the last one up. This year, whether he was injured or just confidence has dropped, he hasnt been the same. (I guess he hasnt played many games either) I hope he gets the chance to play his natural style of game coz he could be a real help to Kerr.

Swift to debut hey. Interesting... i can imagine this board if/when we win, claiming Swift's greatness did it all :D

But as EA pointed out, man they have shit tall defenders. If 1 of our forwards dont have a field day theres something seriously wrong.

If this was at Subi Id say we would have a chance - even maybe at the MCG.

Its just that hole that is the Dome we just cant and never have been able to play decent footy there. Dunno what it is. Hopefully we can just have one of those "ON" nights :thumbsu:

Would love to win the way Essendon beat the hawks on the friday night a few weeks ago - no one gave them a chance and they backed themselves and ATTACKED THE GAME for 4 quarters and were rewarded.

I guess it all depends on our delivery into the forwards. Last week our forward line looked totally disfunctional and lost. Hopefully LeCras and Hunter will add a bit of focus again.
