Round 10 Trades

Depends on the Berger. If his injury is bad then its lucky I brought in Roughead this week. Berger out Roughead moves to ruck and Staker comes in. That will give me enough cash to upgrade Lucas or Moloney to a gun. Double downgrade to Hutchings is tempting but im just not sold on him keeping his spot, plus I have a tough league opponent this week.

Not getting Staker

can't trust crazy Voss

Rock solid job security, rookie price-ish, and he may only have to be your F6/D6 for a game or so as you continue culling your cash cows. Crazy Vossy shouldn't affect your plans here.

Really hope that Hutchings and Colquohoun both miss for the next couple weeks until they pass their byes so that they remain decent downgrade options once we get to a point where JS isn't as much of a priority as it is now.

Probably going to be Wines -> Staker then after that who knows.

Seriously thinking of Swan to Stanton or something similar........ might be a couple of price dropsbin Swan. Seems to be being played less on ball.

Hey DT next year Swan a dpp?
Swan just isn't interested, I reckon he will retire at the end of the season.

I think its more that Collingwoods midfield as a whole is beginning to struggle, leading to less footy heading to Swan as the outside player. His scores will pick up over the next few weeks against softer opponents.

Stanton/Boyd/Jack/Hanna... which to get?

Depends on your other mid's and their bye's. Jack or Stanton would be my first choice.

Stanton/Boyd/Jack/Hanna... which to get?

I got Jack last week, not sure about who to pick this week. I'd suggest perhaps someone with a later round bye this week, then pickup Boyd after the Dogs bye in Rnd 11.

Good point, Boyd after round 11/12 best bet (O'Meara>Boyd perhaps). Lucky for me Stants or Jacks won't impact my bye rounds. Like Jack as a POD.

Who will be the top 8 mids has confused me now of late, its making me tentative on who I pick. I think it may look something like this.

Ablett, Swan, Watson, Pendles, Stanton. Fairly sure these will be the top 5. Then the rest becomes confusing to pick: Scooter/Jack/Boyd/Cotch/Murph/Barlow/Swallow. No idea who will be the top 8 at the end.. thoughts?

Anyway my trades:

Mayes > Staker. First time watching Mayes live last night, had my eyes on him for most of the night. He was always leading to space but at the same time, was mostly on the opposite side of the ground to the ball. Also, did not run hard at the ball or go in for the tackle at all really. I want him out now tbh, Staker should be much more consistent.

If Luey is out (which has been proposed because of he dislocated his thumb): Luey > I have no idea at all. Maybe Goldstein, NicNat, Krooze?

If Ellis is out, then I might have to rethink all trades haha

I reckon the top 8 will be Ablett, Swan, Watson, Pendlebury, Stanton, Jack, Scooter and Cotchin.
Agreed, this should be the top 8. My five set mid premiums are all in this list so I'm hopefully on the right track. Safe to say my next two mid upgrades will be to Pendles and Scooter, not completely sold on Cotchin yet so won't be bringing in my M8 until last.

This week I was hoping to sit down and work out how best to play the byes. But I've got a 12 hr per day residential training course for the entire week, so it's going to be tough.

I can really see the potential in cashing up this week. Having extra dollars available to convert rookies to premiums during Rounds 11 - 13 will really give you an edge. Not sure how to accomplish this...

Hrovat stands out as a good downgrade the week after the Rnd 11 bye. That would allow you to downgrade and upgrade in the same week.

the Pies midfield have been minus Beams all season...and Ball has only been back for two... another factor in the mid setup for them.

Mayes will be gone. Staker will be in. However the configuration of my trades will depend on Leuenberger this week. Could use a bit of dual positioning and make Naitanui and Cox my rucks for the rest of the year. Keen to stockpile cash for the byes...so a double downgrade is very likely.

Ellis will miss this week. Will be back after their bye accord to Hardwick.

Leuenburger out would make things interesting. If Warnock goes out I will be picking up Kreuzer but can't see it happening.

The top 8 midfielders is hard to choose. Stanton isn't even a lock for me as I'm still worried about a second half fade out like last year.

That makes things interesting. In his next game, he will jump an easy 40-50k still but the reported hamstring injury makes me tentative. Especially coming into the byes, I need surity and security of players being fit to play. I would hold if he is back in round 12, but that makes me torn.

Was going to be Goodes > Gibbs and Neade > Staker. But it looks like Hutchings has to come in, regardless of whether he keeps his place Monday or not.

I think he will, Dalziell could miss with concussion and then we only have Waters coming back, maybe Embley. I don't see A Selwood being selected.
