What are your opinions on Jeremy Howe?
Is he worth a look now that he is playing in this new role and doing so well in it?

I'm still not sure what my best move is for this round. I'm probably going to let Hopper pass me by with Matheson on the bubble next week and Trengove just around the corner.

I'm thinking Brown down to The Uber Gang Bang and DBJ to Rance.

Any of you SC wizards have any suggestions?

Edit: I've got around $120k

No trades reqd

But if your busting to trade
Hewett to Mathieson
Smith to Priddis

Means culling 2 cows early i know. However your cows will only go up a fraction more than Priddis and you should in theory be 30+ points better off

$30K 21 Trades
After some advice on Trades/Hold. Thanks in advance.

Def: Shaw, Rich, Seedsman, D Byrne-Jones, Tippa, Brown, Adams, Weitering
Mid: Danger, Priddis, R Gray, Ablett, Hannebury, Libba, Oliver, Smith, Hewett, D Macpherson, Wells
Ruc: Gawn, Natanui, Grimley
Fwd: D Martin, Zorko, Montagna, Kerridge, Kennedy, Petracca, A Hall, Barlow

What has Bevo said publicly? Or at least the Gist of it. He looks a pasty thin kind of dude to me. Didn't fill me with confidence when I saw him play.
From what i gather, he basically said he was impressive last week and should keep his spot. Even briefly reading dogs board, most were impressed and think itd be harsh for him to be dropped, especially over players like adcock

Thanks. In the SC thread, fair bit of discussion about him being in competition with some others, not sold on JS. Tough one isn't it.

Jeez I'm torn between Hopper now, really having to consider him. IMO don't have good JS, nor does Williams IMO.
But if you have to pull the trigger its pretty bleak. Coin toss really.
People are making great arguments for and against JS. I just can't decide.

ATM only trade I'm set on is M Brown for Dusty (loses me DPP but I can live with that.)
DJB for either Williams or Hopper. AHAHAHHAHAAghghhggh! DOing my head in.
I wont be taking hopper for the main reason that he would be riding my bench and i would rather put the extra 70k+ on getting a sp rather than a p.
For others he could fill a role, but at his price he has to be considered as a long term prospect and a m8 till well after the byes. Dont see the point if anyone is planing to upgrade him r15.
Williams on the other hand is handy with his dpp. I am considering bringing him in to sit on mids bench and use him to switch back and forth to move on mooing backs(brown/tippa) and then to mids again (smith/davis). So his dpp is providing me with flexibility with trading meaning i can free up cash at a position i want to spend it in. Have been switch Brown f/b a few time this year for the same purpose.

Rookie breakevens matter as to when to sell them. A premos breakevens dont matter nearly half as much, their price maybe but not their breakevens except wether you wait a week or not and half the time you wait, cop sn injury and miss out on the premo anyway.
Thats basically my argument. Example is Parker this week. Cheapest he has been in weeks. BE of 137. Very capable of making that but a good chance he wont so a good chance he will be cheaper next week.
I have the choice to bring him or wait till next week so its a deciding factor on when to bring him in so as to get him in at the lowest possible price. Agree with your other point as i was trying to bring Doc in when he was under 500k, but other issues arose.
I am trying to avoid buying at a premium this year as i always seem to end up a premo or two short or my last few premos are at the lower end as I have less cash to play with near the end.
I am using BE to best determine when to bring my premos in.

If he stays in this week with boyd and suckling both named, as they're his opposition, his JSmust be decent. Obviously providing he performs similar to how he is and doesnt drop off

Just a word of warning. If you only bring in a premo because their BE is great you wont always get the best premo going forward.
Sometimes a bloke goes on fire and you need to jump on board asap.
Example is Parker again. Grab him R3 and you get him for his best price of the year and the same as those who started him. Grab him now when his BE is 131 and you're hoping he comes down in price that extra 10-20k and you are still buying him dearer than at R3.
If you just grabbed him them when he was going nuts you would have been better off. No point waiting for his BE to send his price down if they're not gonna slow down.

Pendles might knock out 140+ for the next 3 weeks. It would take 6 weeks for his price to go below 650k.

Anyone else bringing Wingard in? At the moment I am but it's making me a little queasy ....
Don't do it . He's one of those annoying impact players who only gets a good average with the odd huge game which seem to be becoming less and less. And the time he has a good one guaranteed will be the only time you play a league opponent who also has him so meaningless. :p

Yep totally understand. Meant to start with him but didnt. Meant to bring him in after rd 2, but went libba instead for the cash. Wasnt going to bring him in after he went over 600k. Looking at him now as he is cheap again. Its bad carma for a SC point of view so not convinced i should go this way.
I understand what you are saying that it is not the most important thing, but my argument is that it must be a consideration when buying. Pendles wont be going down again soon so you had to get him at his lowest. His breakeven is the indicator of this.

You reckon Pridda is best value ATM? 100K off?
Must be a reason. Biggie thinks he's not quite right. At that price, even a sub premium is very, very tempting

Spewing I didn't get in any cashie leagues this year, just a few with mates and one with the footy club.

I know a few people will hate hearing this, but I completely forgot about SC all preseason and during the NAB challenge, and actually made my team the day of Rich v Carl at work and pretty much finished at 5pm and had my team done. Didn't look at anything during preseason and just went with my gut, and obviously looked at which rookies were playing from team selections, got pretty ****ing lucky

FFS, time to reverse and back to the drawing board....
