Get rid of bird.
I did the bird wellingman trade last week. was brilliant!
Wellingman is still worth picking up for a top bencher, but if your just getting the cash out of bird just go for someone dirt cheap.

Decided to go for Armitige out! I won't really need the other spot anyway with Cotchin coming in and there is probably marginally more scope for McNamara to increase in value IF he gets back in for a few more games.

Whatever. Yes I have a sister, who goes to the football with me to watch our side lose every week because she likes football, and yes she has a team. Girls aren't allowed to play? I also do the odd trade for other mates if they are on holidays ... it does happen you know. I know for a fact which team I was logged into as, to repeat myself, I have Didak and Franklin and she doesn't, but they were available options to choose from. I trust myself before I trust that pathetic excuse for a website.
 
One trade left this round, thinking of upgrading Thompson or Hawkins to Jono Brown, or upgrade Scarlett to a Shaw/C. Cornes.

Thoughts ??
 
well been thinking about it all week

finally made my decision upgrading scralett to birchall or... drummond or fisher or goddard:o

Gamble --> Brad Johnson
...Significant forward line upgrade, though weak-ish 9th mid position. Prevent me copping a Chapman-induced zero in the fwd line this week also.

Option 2.
Armitage --> Cotchin
Boak --> Joel Corey
...Forward line will still have two two of Rioli/Gamble/Tippet on the field, but midfield is strong, and 9th mid position is also strong (Cotchin)

Note: I already have Wellingham, and he MAY be good enough to be the 8th mid for the rest of the year... so missing Cotchin is not the end of the world. But are Hinkley and Kennedy both useless???

Anyone? I like option 1, but others prefer option 2.

Boak's BE is 55 or so, while Corey's is still over 100... so theoretically that trade will cost me less next week anyway... with that in mind, it seems as though improving my forward line is the way to go this week...
 
2 questions:

Is J Morton the way to go if u are downgrading Gamble

Also, i want to do Jack----->Corey either this week or next week...

Positives of getting Corey this week:

  • have a captains option this week
  • should demolish carlton
  • no need to worry about this trade anymore
  • will help ease the wound of missing chapman
Negatives of getting Corey this week:


  • could have a shit game and therefore he should drop almost 20k
  • Bartel could get a big score and therefore i will get him because i would be free of worrying abotu his injury
  • has a 130+ b/e
Should i get Corey this week?

answers to these questions would be great

I just went ahead and got Corey myself. Yes he's expensive and has a high BE but you're getting a guy who is averaging 110+. He is an absolute machine and will tear the Blues a new one this week. I can even see him reaching his BE. And for once I finally have a captain I can leave! I'm sick of changing every week trying to find the best option, from now on it's Corey every single week. Put it this way, you probably plan to get him at some stage of the year anyway and as you said, you get him now and don't have to worry about picking him up later. I don't see any negatives. Who cares if he drops $10k next week, not a big deal. :thumbsu:

Drummond, what's Corey's BE?

The reason why I want to go option 1 from the two I presented, is that the Boak --> Corey trade can easily wait one week, because Boak's BE is low, while Corey's is high...

The only problem with option 1 though, is that I need to get an $83,500 mid to fund it, rather than getting Cotchin who is too expensive.

Are there any decent $83,500 mid options? I already have Wellingham, who could possibly see me through for the rest of the year as 8th mid...
 
Earlier in the week, I did:

Bird > Swan
Gamble > Valenti

Last week picked up Corey. Should've picked up Swan last week for the money and the points, and Corey this week. :o

Are there any $83 grand mids worth picking for the 9th position. Have Wellingham, and Cotchin is just too expensive.

According to FF it's only 114. Touch and go, and even if he doesn't get there he's only going to drop $5k. Not worth waiting another week just to save that little cash.
 
Agonized for 2 hours over this one:

Masten>Cotchin
Barlow>Milburn

wanted a cheaper Rookie so I could upgrade 2 with the $, but alas, there were no decent options. :(
 
Cyril Rioli has a b/e of 37 this week. Anyone know his price would increase if he were to score say 80?
