Hey everyone, any thoughts on my lineup?
Got 10 trades left and $128k in the bank.

  • Probably looking to trade tippet for valenti this wk. good idea? doubts on his ability to stay in the demons team, havent seen him play though.
  • Who to trade out for CCornes? Kennelly, Bolton, Ellis, Ibbotson? Need to trade one for a rookie to free up some cash at some stage too.
  • Who to trade out for Richo? NThompson, Riewoldt, Rioli, Johnson?
  • Upgrade the forward or back this wk?
  • Thoughts on hill? time to get rid of him appears to be here. prob do this next wk.
  • Midfield needs work but should cash welling and browne to trade up callan and one other.
  • Most common ruck combo ever by the way...
Looking to give the eliminator a real shake so some help with this wks trades would be great guys.

so this is what im looking at...

12 trades 182200 in bank

houli 280k -----> cotchin 120k leaves me with 343600 in bank

add gamble 211k----> 554 400 to get a fwrd

i have jbrown, pav, chapman, sjohnson, brad johnson, porps

so who is the best value to get as a fwrd keeping inmind that i really really need to work on the backline......was planning on upgrading pfeiffer to birchall but pfeiffer might be a late inclusion (got STD and selwood on the bench)

if i dont get birchall this week (BE 76) then i think i can get jking next week (BE 107 playing sydney)
 
Im gonna pick Riewoldt up this week even though he will go down in price because I think the extra points are worth losing a bit of cash. Not sure who to upgrade though.
My forward line is:
Didak, Porps, Chappy, BJ, JB, Rioli, Jetta EMG:Hansen, Sellar

Should I upgrade Jetta or Sellar? If I upgrade Sellar I will lose ~60K but if I upgrade JEtta I will have a 0 and no playing emergency for the coming weeks. How likely is it that Chappy won't be back next week? If he is pretty likely to be back I think I will trade Jetta.

need some cash. trade out tippett or hill? thoughts? tippett has a 79 b/e and looks like he's peaked. will hill get another game? as i want to keep the one i dont trade as a reserve who will get games.

who's everyone on now that valenti has been dropped?

Still happy with that trade, needed cash.

IN: Ablett

I know Stanton is (well was) a Premium, but i'm sick of him. Watson out means he cops the tag again and goes down another $30,000. Ablett is the best player atm, will boost my team greatly.

Also gives me $100,000 for a Taylor upgrade next week or the week after (to Mcleod perhaps)
 
After much deliberation I decided to do Stokes to Morton (to cover for Chapman, hopefully he can impress and get a decent amount of games) which gave me enough to upgrade Masten to Priddis. Main problem is my lack of trades and I think I'm gonna need a heap of luck to get through the rest of the season without copping a few zero's.

Despite having Gamble in my team, I'm actually glad that he is dropped. Reason being that I was going to upgrade him to a gun this week, but I was just having doubts as I thought Geelong would dominate and Gamble may pull out a big score!

I'd planned on downgrading Gamble and upgrading Masten but with no good rookie options in the forward line, I think I'll let that wait...

What I can do (with 105k in the bank)

Out: Proud & Masten
In: Wilkes & Swan

Proud doesn't look like he'll break into the team again and Wilkes is only 72k (making a 50k downgrade *somewhat* worthwhile), it also gives me a playing back reserve likely to score more than NJB.

I've wanted Swan in my team for a while and I think I just need to pull the pin...

Do you guys think cashing in on 50k is worth the trade it's going to cost?

Was set on downgrading Taylor and Gamble to Cotchin and Valenti, but Valenti being dropped has put a stop to that pretty quickly. I knew my trading plan wouldn't come exactly to fruition :D

Am thinking now of doing the following:

Trade 1: Taylor to Cotchin

Trade 2: Kennelly to Heath Shaw

Was always going to do the first trade so I won't change that. Will make me a bit of money.

The 2nd trade is an interesting one. Planning to bring in Shaw at some stage over the next few weeks but not sure when to do it. Kennelly may return this week but I'm a bit worried by his injury. Bringing Shaw in means that Wonna is demoted to the bench to make me cash.

Is it worth doing it? I think so but am undecided and can easily be convinced to wait another week on the 2nd trade.

Not really happy with my trades. Wanted to spend that money on Kornes, Bartel or Corey next week.

Needed to do it to avoid a zero. Already copped enough this year and at least my fwds are complete.

jeremias - i would heath shaw is a gun, and i cant see kennelly scoring that great. but alot depends on the rest team and if that is ur weakest link/trades left etc.

jdwood - i have simlar plans to try and get swan into my aswell
with 13 trades , i cant see noithing wrong with it

ling is strugglin i feel . what do others think ?
this would leave me with 7 trades . rioli , ibbo, wona,plamer all on the ground still .
so therefore at about round 14/15 , 3 of those will be guns and leaving me with 2 trades for injuries in about 8 rounds :thumbsdown:
thoughts ?
or just stick with lingy and ride it out ????

Thanks for the response mate.

Kennelly/Ibbotson/Wonna (2 of them starting), Palmer and Rioli are my weakest points and the only ones that really need upgrading.

A little more than 100k in the cap, with 9 trades left.

Was going to bring in Shaw anyway at some stage over the next few weeks, just undecided who to do it for out of Ibbo or Kennelly. Ibbo has been doing fantastically well so I might keep him as my 7th defender for a while with a possibility of upgrading him down the track.
 
Would people trade Burton for Brown knowing both have a potential for a good score this week, however Burton is set to lose money whilst Brown will do the exact opposite.

If i trade Burton for Brown, then i get $40,000 Cash.

Can I start playing this game Mid-Season? Looks like fun :)
Is it just based on a players individual performance in the league for the weekend?

If Brown averages 95 from here on in and Burton averaged 85 is the trade worth it? Give a ____ about Burton losing money, what does that have to do with the price of fish in china? It's only relevant when your cash cows lose money because you want to sell them at their peak. Burton could be worth 73K for all I care as long as he keeps averaging over 80.
