Isn't there a major risk that Valenti may return to the Melbourne rookie list once Grimes returns from long term injury?

I'm one of plenty looking at Bird>Cotchin and Tippet>Valenti this week to free up some cash but it seems inherently risky given Valenti's status. Not a lot of other bargain rookie forward talent around.

Nah, I'm holding on to Kane. I'll get Ablett for Stanton eventually, when he drops a bit. Kane will come good eventually mate.

Nah tbh I'm not sure if I will get Drummond. Will probably stick it out with Gilbee and save the trade.

Yaaablet in this week. Its set. Comes in and locked away as captain.

Depending on how Bartel, Boomer and Palmer go I'll do a straight Palmer to Boomer OR downgrade a Gamble or N.J.Brown and go Palmer to Bartel. Or just keep Palmer.

Leaves 6-7 trades to the end.

I would get Ablett over Bartel personally, only problem is I would need to downgrade Tippett as well as Gamble (who I'm already downgrading). Plus the fact that (all fingers crossed), Bartel will be about 120k cheaper than Ablett.

It's either

Gamble > Valenti
Thomas > O'Keefe
Palmer > Bartel

or

Gamble > Valenti
Tippett > Davies
Palmer > Ablett

Probably going with the first.
