Some stats (that I at least find interesting)

Noah Anderson - 35 disposals, 1 clanger

Touk Miller 22 disposals, 9 contested, 82% DE, 8 clearances, 7 tackles (2 inside 50), 2 goals, 6 score involvements, 26 pressure acts from only 76% time on ground. Kicked basically the game sealing goal. What a game for his 200th.

Ben Long - kicked goals in 22 of the 24 games since he came back into the team mid 2024

Humphrey - games with 18 disposals or more
2024: 0
2025: 6

Collins - 6 intercept marks, 5 score involvements, 3 score launches (team high other than Witts)

Witts+Moyle - 17 hitouts to advantage

Wil Powell - 8 intercepts, 7 ground ball gets

There’s a lot of salty Hawks supporters out there blaming everything and everyone for the loss. Saw one say they’d beat us anywhere else including PFS lol.
Feels good  Can’t wait to get home and watch the replay.
We have so much more growth and improvement left in us over the next few years too.
Life is so much better when your footy team wins regularly.
You know what makes the loss worse for the Hawks? The fact that Cyril attended OUR pre-match function and accepted OUR invitation to be a guest in OUR section of the stadium. For context, Cyril declined an offer from Hawthorn to attend their training session on Wednesday and they didn't know he planned on attending the game last night.
Hawthorn didn’t know Cyril Rioli was going to be watching his former side at TIO Stadium on Thursday night until they saw the TV footage.

While he may’ve been keeping an eye on his former team, he was actually there as a guest of their opponents on the night – the Suns.

...

Rioli and his wife Shannyn Ah Sam-Rioli, whose difficult relationship with Hawthorn has been well-documented, attended the Suns’ official function before the game and stayed to watch the match in its entirety. His cousin, Daniel, the three-time premiership-winning former Tiger, was playing his second game in Darwin for the Suns.

Pretty sure we're not going to see one for 2 times premiership player Kamdyn Macintosh tonight
I'd say more to do with Dave as an individual and the respect from Geelong players than the specific milestone.
Correct
Dave and GAJ were pretty tight
Our only connection with that pack of staging sniping head cases we played last night is Scrimsook and Fatmouth Brown
Chol is an ex Richmond player

Gotta be in the best handful of his games.

Given the context of the game (the 5 day break, in Darwin, Thursday night on Ch 7, many players gassed and/or cramping in the 4th, the top 4 oppo), his dominant first half, then digging in for a quality 4th quarter, being clean most of the night, leading from the front, very impressive.

We might not be saying it enough...it was the right call to make him Captain.
Touk was good but so far it looks like Noz is elite level, especially given the age profile of the list.

As a previous regular red eye overnight flyer, i switched to morning flight next day more recently.
The red eyes you are wrecked the whole next day anyway.
Wonder if they considered a 10 am flight rather than overnight (particularly if today is just a day off for them)
I was on the hawks plane we landed 5.35am I was home by 6.50am didn’t have to wait for luggage and car parked in a spot I can be on the road and gone from airport within 15 mins pretty much slept all day still feel crap a day later

Suns boarded their flight about 2am and I think flew into Brisbane so probably wouldn’t have arrive home until 7/8am so you’re probably right about getting the 10am flight and having normal sleep and traveling regime
