Thats some kind of game by Brand right there, those are (admittedly VFL) Brian Lake type numbers.

Lewis makes a massive difference structurally. Although our forwards were better overall vs Port, there was still the pattern of bombing it long only for the opposition to intercept. I thought that with Lewis/Ceglar playing forward this was no longer the case. Pittonet was good but his marking leaves much to be desired.

I think there is room in the side for both Pittonet and Ceglar with the latter spending more time forward. But does that make us too slow?

Ross: 12 disposals - 3 marks - 4 tackles - 4 goals

does that make it 21 goals from 7 games ?!
@ 3 per match - he seems to be smashing it, just like Lewis did last year.

The last lightly built half-forward to score so many goals for us at BH was Luke Breust.
I hope Ross can develop on a similar trajectory!

Oli is madly off the boil this year.

Geez, I hope we see Ross at AFL level this year.

Depending on the fitness of Scrimshaw and Smith reckon it could be:

In: Smith Lewis
Out: Morrison/Glass Pittonet

Pitto stiff but need players who can cover the ground well against a quick side like the Lions.

If Scrimshaw misses then Morrison/Glass stay in.

Big test this game. Will be interesting to see how we respond after last year’s pantsing. Brisbane have 1 less day to recover and are coming back Perth.

Smith for Morrison. That's it.

Agree with the sentiments, and Morrison really needs to find touch at box hill for an extended period. However Lewis has to play and develop.

We bombed it far too often today and lacked that presence in the air. Port had loads of marks inside their defensive 50. We need his presentation I feel.

Smith had a really good first half v Melbourne where I thought, yes he’s back. Then injury struck and our game suffered.

Fingers crossed on scrimshaw. He is no doubt 100% starting 22 for mine. He simply must not miss for the remainder of the season. Can mark, carry and move well.

I can’t see glass featuring this week either though. So perhaps this is how Pitto stays...

I'd love to give Brand or Ross a game
I'd like to drop Morrison
I think Scrimshaw will be rested.
I.O'mith to stay rested. Roughead stays out.
Pittonet to stay in.
I'd like to give Glass another game if possible.

Lewis likely to come back in for Pittonet. After a good win I dont see they will make any other changes although personally I would have Moore playing ahead of Morrison. I assume Smith still needs more time and Scrim gets up.

In JLT Box Hill team found a game style which troubled a nearly full strength Brisbane. Brisbanes polish made it a 40 point loss though.

No need to be pessimistic about this game
