After making that joke, I realised that GWS over Melbourne was actually at an interstate game for both clubs (Alice Springs), so it's a bit of an asterisk too.

Credit to GWS, they've beaten the Cats at GMHBA, Adelaide in Adelaide and the Dees in Alice Springs.

But losing to the Tigers and Blues at home (and the Eagles away) have hurt them. Flip those three results and they'd be level with us (and have Melbourne outside the 4!).

I think it was only ever enforced once a week at most, and randomly against a non-Victorian team it felt like.
