The Hawthorn hoodoo emphatically laid to rest

We have not only become MCG specialists but we are undefeated AWAY from home. i'm pretty sure that even the fabled threepeat team couldn't boast that record after 11 rounds

Midfield was great but Jack Payne played a fantastic game. AA form.

Now let's get the job done against the Bombers

Go Lions!!

This match and the Suns game is the standard. Yes we can’t win them all but it’s very obvious to see when the effort is there, and today the effort was there in spades!

And now after the shocking past fortnight we’re momentarily top of the ladder. With Pendlebury and Hill late outs, let’s hope North can bring their A-game and cause an upset

So good watching Ah Chee & Charlie up and about. Still not at his best but some positive signs from Lohmann today.

Overall terrific team performance but I thought some guys who may not get the same attention as others today were very good like Payne, Fort and Fletcher. I noticed Fort’s defensive pressure was top notch for a ruckman.

Fort was a Giant today in the ruck looked like he ate thunder for breakfast

Effort great today; heads in the game right from the gecko. Execution, still a work in progress at times.

Liked the last quarter Rayner move: if he isn't finding the ball, put him in a position where the ball will find him. Genius. Can he ruck though?

Fingers crossed on the MRO raffle.

Hawks fairly impotent without Day tbh.

Ah Chee, Morris, Lohmann - MCG specialists. when they are up and running we have a new wave of energy across the group. Charlie was equally brilliant today, those 3 goals silenced the Hawks supporters. He got a lot out of it, he was even running back to D50 to pressure the ball carrier in Q4.

I loved Payne just beating Gunston to the ball and marking them all in the last line. Answerth was immense against Watson. Great way to redeem himself and his confidence would be sky high. Rayner left a couple of goals on the table but he looked dangerous as the lead up full forward from goal square.

Lastly, the midfield collectively stepped up and literally threw themselves at the ball. Hats off. Fort just set the tone giving repeat chase and tackle efforts.

What an awesome “up yours “to all the doubters , never looked like losing .
They all played well .some were brilliant .
They love our coach .as they should .
I was lucky to be able to shake his hand and thank him for all he has done for our club , at open training at Ninja Stadium .

Regardless of Oscar getting over soreness, I’m not sure how Forty can be dropped after than performance.

Fort played a great game. His ground ball effort was way better today and I think he'll gain confidence longer he plays as the primary ruck. Oscar could play deep forward when he returns?

Terrific improvement. Commitment to task for 4qtrs. Back 6/7 very good today. Answerth, Payne, very good. Fwd 50 entries much better. Fwds looking a bit more cohesive. Ah Chee n Charlie found som form. I have no doubt Lohmann will find it soon. The midfield hunted and tackled like they should. It's amazing what they can do when they put their minds to it. Fages having faith in players paid off again.

Very happy with that win, not just for the 4 points but the 4qtr effort especially.

The most encouraging thing is that there is still improvement to come. Kiddy, Big O, hopefully Starce to come back into the team. Doedee pushing for a spot, Mckenna always ready. Great solid depth behind them as well.
