I mean I've seen people say about 100 times that he can't play out a full game, and you know what the best way to build someones tank is don't you, play them for about 15 minutes each week.
So yeah, makes complete sense he'd be the sub again....

It was the coach who stated this - that he didn't quite have the body or tank to play full games in the midfield..I think it was more about his body...something like "you can't just throw 18 yr olds in the midfield against men"...but he might be ready by now, or soon? Seems to be getting rotated...the most important thing at this stage is he manages to keep his shorts up!?

Yeah you can get a bit during the year but Gross is probably one thatll have to wait for next year to get regular full games at AFL level.
Nothing wrong with that, at least Harley/Hewett will be more mature and Gross could be the 5th mid rotating off hff.

Line by line.

I feel like the Eagles forward line is better than the Adelaide backline.

Eagles lose the ruck as part of a noble tradition we started at the end of 2022. But our mids are seemingly getting better fairly consistently every week and should be better than last year.

Adelaide has our backline beaten with their forwards.

We add pace this week with Dewar and Long faster than Owies and Cripps respectively.

Adelaide are coming in thinking they're able to walk through the game and bump up their %. Chance to scare them early before the rain rolls in? If we did something like we did to Brisbane earlier in the year then the rains came they might struggle to come back over the top.

No reason Gross couldn’t play HFF with the view to sub him off, and if he’s required for the full game and runs out of legs late like we started to see last week…ok?

That’s fine. Play him WAFL next week off the back of that if so. But making a young bloke the sub this many times in a row would be a pretty flattening thing.
