Hows your team looking for the next 2 rounds?

Playing around with it now.

19 trades remaining so planning to go hard.

At the moment, considering Saad + Miller + Neale to Sloane + B.Smith + Deledio.

Would give me:

DEF: Pittard, Yeo, McIntosh, Smith, Lever, Hamling
MID: Beams (c), Selwood, Burgoyne, Hodge, Sloane, Deledio, Amon (inj?)
RUC: Goldstein, Jacobs
FWD: Gray, Martin, Ziebell, Hogan, Tarrant, Dale

Best case: D6 + M7 + R2 + F6 = 21

Then, in Round 13.

Sub Burgoyne + Hodge with Yeo + McKenzie

DEF: Ibbotson, Burgoyne, Hodge, McIntsoh, Smith, Lever and Hamling
MID: Fyfe, Pendlebury, Beams, Kennedy, Parker, Sloane, Deledio, McKenzie
RUC: Jacobs, Cox (won't play)
FWD: Swan, Martin, Lonie, Dale

I'd definitely trade out both Hogan and Tarrant, likely subbing Deledio fwd to buy another midfielder. I would consider trading out someone like KMcIntosh as well, as I'd have a surplus in defence.

In any case, Best case: D6+1, M8, R1, F6 (including trading in players for Hogan and Tarrant) = 21

I'd really love to hear thoughts on this.

I've no issue burning 3 and 3 trades in the next 2 rounds.

Honestly if you can manage 21 players over the next 2 weeks, you should find yourself moving up the rank pretty good, these next 2 rounds will see most teams struggle so if you can field a strong team you should be back.

Is there anyone else you can offload for Neale though, I like you idea of bringing in Deledio which gives you more strength in your FWD line after the byes, but Neale is killing it this year, would be a shame to loose him.

You could even carry Neale through the byes, which will still give you more starters than most, without having to offload a good performing premo.

The fact you still have 19 trades, means you can afford to burn an extra trade later to bring in Lids, without having to get rid of Neale.

Thats really the only thing I have against your strategy, mainly because I think your pushing a bit too much to fill your team for the byes, dont chase the points. If you can field 20 players next week I wouldnt offload Neale.

Does anyone know how much Steven went up in points after his 3 vital possessions in the last 40 seconds. Just doesn't seem like he went up that much, considering the match was won off his clearance work.

Not sure how much they went up, but CD changed the junk time scoring, so it wouldn't be as much as previous years.

Actually gained places this week despite only having 16 players. Only a couple of hundred spots, but happy to maintain the status quo through the Bye Rounds.

Pr1cks. I thought he was going to go huge after a fairly disappointing game. So they give minimal points for possessions that decided the game but also give minimal points when players don't have an impact at the start of the game when the game was in the balance apparently (ie. Parker vs Carlton). So influencing games only matters when it suits CD. I'm confused, my head hurts.

They still get extra points but not to the same extent as last year.

So it still counts, but your not going to get 50 points for a winning goal anymore.

Tough school, thought my 1743 wasn't too bad, especially with injuries raping me to just 16 players. Thought I'd drop 1 or 2k spots at most from my rank. Log in to see I've dropped 4525 spots to 19,025!

Projected score of about 1750 for rd 12. Hopefully if I hit that I'll hold my spot at least and should go biggish rd 13.
