Thats because people lodge teams with the sole goal of being primed for the bye round

Doubt it. Even though I'm top 100 I'm more than 600 points from the lead. Not VC'ing Danger two weeks in a row cost me more than 100. You have to make the perfect decision at the perfect time. I almost traded Fyfe for Jelwood this weekend but wanted S Selwood and had to get Greenwood. Then in def. I considered getting Williams but in the end went with the downgrade option and got Scharenberg. Williams scored 145 on the weekend. Can't complain though. Gotta take the good with the bad. Everyone probably has similar stories to tell. Would be nice to have a top 100 finish though. Would be stoked with that.

Having my worst year for awhile. Smouldering in 18th at the moment...... Absolutely atrocious. Thinking of just going auto mode and not touching SC till 2018.

1769, into the top 30k, higher than any rank I had last year (my first year of Supercoach). Happy, but will be even happier when Myers, JStew, Parsons and friends get the **** out of my team (one is getting the boot this week)

I was surprised when I saw all these fairly popular players going gangbusters and I didn't have them that I put up a useful score this week.

Do you think the biggest downfall for most was not fielding enough players or just bad luck with vc/c scores?

Butting in, I reckon a lot of people only had 17 - 19 playing and a lot of popular rookies had a bad week.
I had 22 on field and did ok (not in leagues though), but had scores of 36, 44, 46, 51, 54, 56, 56, 59 (thankfully 4 didn't count). A lot of people would have had 4-6 of these guys counting toward their score.

For me poor vc/c & sandilands out .......but also dependlebury 108 (poor) and Dusty goes ballistic ......it could have been the reverse of that, so a bit of luck

I bring Sloane in and i jinx him going sub-acceptable ........would anyone realistically expected Kelly's score ? .....Kelly's score over Sloane put me almost 90 points behind there

Scored 1,723. Not bad considering I only had 16 players as of R10, and managed to source a full 18 in the end and won my three main leagues for good measure! Only dropped 46 places to still sit ranked 1,046.

Didn't buy into Lyon's words in his presser during the week on Sandi returning, and with Griffin named as EMG I thought he was a fair chance of being a late out.

Ended up working in my favour as I went Sandi > Sloane.

Also traded out Pickett > Bolton and nabbed Fisher > S.Selwood.

Solid all around!

~19k which is a long way from the 3.4k position i finished last year so bit of a fail year seeming I haven't finished outside top 10k since before 2014.
