Bringing in a premo this week. When they have a bye in 2 weeks was a bit stupid. R12 triple upgrades should have an obvious target. Skipping byes is a math thing. Getting a nice fancy premo before his bye. Hmm. Not genius.
Correct ......and guilty as charged :( ......but felt like a potential cheap premo facing a $30K increase was worth it .....should have kept Murphy, but hopeful that longterm it;s the right call

Amen to that. If I manage 5400 over these three weeks I'll be pretty happy. Only managed just over 5100 last year. This is the point in the season that I really crashed and burned last year. At the moment I feel like I'm in a much better position to cope with the buys. 3 trades used this weekend, non next weekend and another three for round 13. Last year I had to use 3 trades every round and still couldn't get 18 on the park for one of them.
Even though i crashed and burned with Sloane last night ......i'm still hopeful of pulling a reasonable score (1,800+) with 18 players ......Myers score critical & i've managed to loophole Bolton with Callum Brown

Additional defense point also, was that by bringing Sloane in gave me 18 players ......bringing Scooter in as an upgrade gave me 17 players ......i certainly wasn't going to downgrade a mid premo for Scooter & 3 games doesn't define Scooters season IMHO

How does that work? Loopholing a player with someone that hasn't been picked??

Not looking forward to today. Has anyone else noticed that this year SBS seems to stand for SaturdayBloodySaturday?
Or maybe it's just that my team is such utter crap this year that the cracks are showing up earlier in the round.

Guess I was lucky jjk went down.
Keeping a few maxed out rookies to trade out r12 was always going to make it easier.
Jjk to scooter worked wonders for me. Its paid for 2 upgrades next week. Barrett to cousins paid for the third. Every time this week I chose an option without scooter. I remembered I actually always really rated scooter. Don't think we have seen his best yet IMO.
Geelong got a massive bargain IMO.
Not as massive as our Marley. But a bargain for sure.

Pendles the safe choice. Sadly Ablett is a walking injury risk now. IMHO 10% chance he hurts something during the game. Pendles will go for 90 points minimum even if he breaks his leg.
Yes i agree ......i think Ablett will respond after a week off, and the criticism he's received this week about his value to GC .......but i simply can't gamble & Pendles is the safe option for a 100-120

Just Harbrow in this earlier game. Need 80 from Harbrow to beat Ottens past fortnight of scoring and feel a little better about this trade.

Shaw, Lloyd, Myers, Goldy, Nank later today

Fyfe has been reduced from a "God" player to an ordinary player .....he's lost the arrogance that a Dangerfield, Carey, Ablett played with
Confidence can be returned with one good game.
I wonder if post fyfes career we look back at him playing with a broken leg differently. Hope it hasn't had any permanent effects. Love watching him play at his best.
