Wouldn't be so sure, Clarke has been an emergency plenty lately, he's contracted for next year, and with a condensed fixture he should have opportunity. Stringer was used inside before he hurt his ankle so there's room for a bigger inside mid, but they have to be able to do more than just attend stoppages as we can't just bench him in between. Needs to be more versatile.If the Harding article is anything to go by we can probably forget about seeing Clarke or Hibberd i reckon (outside of maybe on Hibberd on a wing as lore mentioned elsewhere).
I think it also explains why Zaka continues to be selected and also why we saw Cahill get midfield minutes almost immediately (and why we see Tippa and Smith in there all the time etc).
