Ladder after Round 11

Code:
Pos Team P W L D F A % Pen Pts

1 West Coast Wonders 11 8 3 0 1183 960 123.23 0 32
2 Southern Dragons 11 8 3 0 1103 980 112.55 0 32
3 Mod Squad 11 6 5 0 1000 998 100.20 0 24
4 Fighting Furies 11 6 5 0 909 966 94.10 0 24
5 Mount Buller Demons 11 4 7 0 1065 1141 93.34 1 15
---------------------------------------------------------------------
6 Baghdad Bombers 11 4 7 0 929 1003 92.62 3 13
7 Geelong Gumbies 11 4 7 0 972 1113 87.33 3 13
8 East Side Hawks 11 4 7 0 1010 1020 99.02 4 12
A round of upsets really with West Coast Wonders, Southern Dragons, Fighting Furies and the Mount Buller Demons all losing with the Furies getting absolutely annihilated by the East Side Hawks.

Those wins have put the bottom three into contention for the top five with the Demons now under increasing pressure to perform in order to hold their spot in the five which they have held for the past few weeks. The Wonders and the Dragons have a handy lead over the rest of the competition and their percentage will come in handy when spots for the finals are up for grabs. Their positions are made more stronger with the bottom three sides all losing premiership point for rules breaches.

Second half of the year looks to be promising with round eleven breathing new life into the competition.

East Side have lost four premiership points, Baghdad and Geelong have lost three, Mount Buller have lost one.

I'll add in a penalty section on the ladder to save the confusion.
Cheers.

So four teams have lost premiership points. Is that due to a problem with half the league's captains or the rules? I wonder.

well when you don't name a team it's reasonable to be punished.
The ins and outs rule is making people listen too.

Clearly its a problem with half the league's captains not following the rules. It has not been a fault of misunderstanding or ambiguity in the rules.

Half the leagues captains I'd say. The rules are easy to cover yourself by with a simple post a week.

The captains mostly. People not posting teams or not posting teams correctly seems to be the problem despite the rules being made reasonably clear at the start of the season.

The bottom four teams are those that have lost points. That suggests to me poor management/loss of interest.

Some Massive games coming up in the next few weeks.

Furies - play the 3 teams above them in the next 4 weeks as well as the Demons who could be within overtaking distance by the time they meet.

Wonders v Shagons - massive match in Round 13, could determine who gets a weeks break in the first week of the finals.

Bombers - play the Gumbies and the Hawks in the next 2 weeks, all 3 are withing a point of each other and all within a win of the top 5 and so the outcomes to both of these matches will be absolutely massive.

STATE OF ORIGIN
It's coming people. So far Rick18 has agreed to captain the Victorian side and PHX the Allies. I would like to offer the SA captaincy role to loopy_cam and the WA role to Ljp.

It is the captains responsibility to start a team thread and organise numbers. I encourage all players though to sign up for their native or home state when the threads do go up. It is also up to the various captains as to whether they want to appoint a vice.

Gumbies are building up momentum nicely. Apart from the 39 point loss to the Wonders in round 8, all our games in the last six weeks have been decided by 2 goals or less, with 3 wins and 2 narrow losses.

How come there isn't a trade period thread apart from the rumours one Rick?
Dunno to be honest. I think one will be made when an official trade is done but at the moment everything just consists of people talking a lot of shit with zero substance.
