not sure if there already a thread / discussion about this. buying AFL member reserve seats this morning. I got the carlton game, and then went to get ticket to the collingwood game, and ticketmaster wouldnt let me.

realised both games are at marvel on same day.

is it a double header ? are my tickets valid for second game as well ?

It would seem odd to have Carlton and Collingwood in a double header, two 40k games at a 50k venue. Also odd to have the games to be four hours apart in a double header. So, I doubt that one ticket covers both games.

If it was North v GWS and St Kilda v Gold Coast it might make more sense, combine two 20k crowds into one lease of the venue. North should move this game to Bunbury. Eddie would go more whacko than donald trump at tariffpalooza.

No.
Our game will finish at 3pm then they will clear the stadium by 4pm latest, probably reopen the gates at about 530pm.
There is no way I would want to hang around Marvel for 4+ hours between games watching grass grow or want to watch that game live in person when I can watch it on the tele even if I did have the option to watch both games with just the purchase of my tickets for Blues v Giants.

must be a ticketmaster stuff up then, wont let me use the same AFL member ticket for second game.

Wrong venue for that anyway

This will be a fantastic day of footy. I am planning on going to Carl v GWS at 12:35, will finish about 3:25, catch the train from Spencer St to Richmond, go to Haw v Brisbane at 4:15pm, will finish about 7:10, catch the train back to Spencer St, go to NM v Coll.

But in answer to the question, no they are not a double header, separate tickets for each game. (if you are an AFL member like me you get into both).

I chose to come to Melbourne specifically for this round. I get to see all my teams - Essendon, GWS, Brisbane and Suns.
