Polo was probably one of our worst performed last week because of his shoulder injury. If he was to play like that again then maybe we should consider putting him into surgery now instead of delaying it.

nah they will probably make him play the year and then he will get the op done so he misses 3 months of the pre season

typical richmond genius!

what an uninspiring squad they have named.

still no meyer
bling deledio & jackson in the forward three - whatever wallace

just bloody name a list of young players mate, stop ****ing around.

could possibly be the worst performing/ most uninspiring player at our club at the moment, shouldn't pick him until he gets his ass into gear

Im all for polo to play, but i just think thats how they will go, dean had a shocker last weekend didnt get a lot of it in the game time he had, i just feel they will go hyde in and him out, and im hoping they go for kingsley out rather than schulz.

As for mcguane i dont see why we need him this week, JB was sentational on brown, and i think he mite get pavlich this week, polak will play on tarrent and thursty will play on campbell if he plays, i dont see why we need another tall defender, and if we needed to put somone else back then i think schulz should be tride at CHB again

apart from protecting him if his shoulder needs attention, then if you havent got in the groove yet, here is a leg up.
Polo's shockers shit on Hyde's servicable try hard games.
Thats about the gist on where i rate Hyde. I would go as far as to say, that even the use of the word rate in his case, is a bonus.
The fact they dont get it to much, isnt what i look for. Its what happens when they do get it, that is our biggest problem, or havent you been watching the tigers in the last 10 years?
Alot of tigerheads havent really changed have they? As long as you can rack up the stats, they deem you a player, as opposed to racking up average number of stats, 90% being effective. They look at those as no good, since you didnt get it to much.

Whats the use of having a player with 28 disposals when 15 were nothing gives to no one, and the other 13 were integral maybe in 2 goals for us, and regurllarly 6 for the opposition? Wake up dudes.
I would rather have a player that touches it 13 times, and 10 of those times the ball is hitting the right target, that is the best chance for us to score and the least chance for the opposition to. ;)

amen brother

hyde and tivendale love to fumble and piss fart their way to 20 possies a game meanwhile richo is busting a gut giving leads all to no avail

Side should be:

If forwards dont fire or a backman is struggling than Jackson can help out. I have put him on the bench noit as punishment but as a "Mr Fix it". You see Jackson is proving to be a good utility. Played up forward against Essendon and just about won us the game, tagged Black right out of the game against Brissie and has had experience down back. Must stay in side.

B - J. King W. Thursfield J. Bowden

HB - A. Raines G. Polak C. Newman

C - M. White S. Tuck R. Tambling

HF - C. Hyde M. Richardson G. Tivendale

F - K. Pettifer B. Deledio K. Kingsley

R-Foll- A. Pattison K. Johnson N. Foley

Inter - D. Jackson, C. Hughes, D. Polo, C. Howat

I think Shulz needs to play, for right or wrong he potentialy is the best kick and lead up forward we have right now. Subi is a big ground and will best suit his natural talent.

The rest is up to him.

Shulz stays, Hughes for Kingsley. McGuane for back up as Polak is best used as the third man up.

There is no one to come in for Edwards and he is holding up ok. If Connors was fit or Meyer had form it'd be an option but none of our smaller guys are performing any better than Edwards even at the Coburg level.

Unless you want Krak back. :o

Yer its a bit shite. Edwards has been getting games the last two weeks primarily because noone has looked like taking his spot in the side. He is playing this week even though he probably should have been dropped last week. Its a combo of him still hanging on from the cotails of his Adelaide match and noone putting there hand up. I would have really like to have seen JON, Conners or Meyer step at the Burgers last week, knowing that if they had a good game they would be every chance to play this week.

Moore was one of our best last (richmond listed players for Coburg) week and he hasn't even be called up as an emergency so maybe its all over for him:confused:

where does edwards play, FP, HFF mid field? you could easily slot someone in for him, he isnt exactly that irreplaceable or the vital link. sure it would be nice for him to play a half decent game, but I think thats a long way off because of his lack of shkills.

Edwards efficiency runs at about 80% but the problem is he hasnt learnt how to make the most of his possessions that arent clangers just yet.

It comes with match practise though I think so I'm happy to see him getting it. :thumbsu:

Will play Coburg next week though I reckon. Will be good for his confidence since he dominates there.

Your theory is yet unproven, Rock.

Potentially he may be the straightest kick in the side. Problem being, he hasn't had a kick for six weeks!!!!!

Agree totally, however at 0 - 1- 9 pinch hitting with Kingsley is of no use. If Shulz is going to to prove that he belongs and wants to be in a Richmond Jumper, IMO a ground like Subi is an ideal localation.

It's funny that I think that going tall with Hughes at true CHF, Shulz at FF and Richo free to roam the wings is the way to go at Subi, but Terry has gone with a small Forward line.

He must want to either run them off their feet or find a way to lock it in.

Schultz is a very good kick, but his record this year isn't that great. I think hes kicked about 11 or 12 goals and 9 or 10 behinds. Thats would below the comps average im pretty sure.

He is his most threaterning on the lead. He does have alot of potential IMO he just needs to have a string of 2 or 3 goal games where he can get his confindence up. His fitness is also a concern, the must be a reason why he can't run out games and collect only 8 touches a game.

Stick him in the square in the first half, and leave it pretty open (ie with only an Edwards, Tambling, Jackson or Deledio) in his zone. Pettifer and Richo get most of there touches up the ground so this also offers him more room, esspeacially at Subi, as it is wide and open.

If he doesn't have a good first half chuck Richo up there and put Schultz in the pocket. This may force Schultz's man to go help out Richo in contents which would allow him to be free for a quick kick foward into the 50.

In saying all this I personally don't think Schultz will get a game this week, Kingsley simply showed more last week. And although playing him isn't going in the right direction, Schultz isn't going to be gifted games anymore IMO

Also in relation to team changes its useful to note that McGuane played in the foward line for a half last week, and Huges played in the back line for a half. Maybe McGuane will be used up foward, im pretty sure he was drafted as a foward

I personally like him more as a backman, with Richo, Huges, Kingsley, Schultz, Riewoldt and part timers Pattison and Simmonds, we have enough tall fowards. Not to mention we could have Kuezer by the end of the year

talk about dropping edwards is rubbish

let the kid play he is finding a bit of it and when he starts reading it better will be quality

dale thomas has played everygame except for when he broke his collarbone so forget this rest bullshit he is the fittest almost at the club and for a pencil has plenty of balls

On ya PLSC. Its about time we show some faith in our kids that are willing to work the hardest. :thumbsu:

the honest truth about schulz is he is technically a great kick with very poor concentration.
i think that because of that he is only average kick.
