Jod, get what I mean?
Want me to vote for you? I mean I was there & saw the replay and all. Will if you (or Jod) want.

My votes;

Still mixed emotions - glad we got 2 ts but ****ed off played badly for a good part of the game and didnt get 4pts!

5 - Fletcher
4 - Embley
3 - Cousins
2 - Matera
1 - Braun

Shame Fido is out injured - funny how games like this and Hawks and Essendon will come back to bite us now we have 3-4 tough games ahead that we really need to win.

I am not one to single out players, but I was very disappointed with Duncan Kerr - and have been a few times this year. Maybe he is getting the second year blues a year late??
Dont think he is match fit, spends a lot more time on the bench. Also could still be carrying the effects of an ankle injury.

Interesting. If I was voting this season, I would've easily given Cuz 5 today. I thought he was great, and not only in his trademark stylish play, but in the way he was doing the tough stuff too. The spoiling, the smothers, the shepparding and so on. I saw someone say they weren't impressed with his disposal, but that was actually one area i thought was improved. I've been tough on his kicking for a few years now, and noted the improvement this afternoon. Funny how we see things differently.
That's what I saw...I thought he was fantastic and our only 4 quarter player.

5 - Cousins - read EF's summary.
4 - Braun - did all the hard work, won 1 on 1 contests, kicked a goal, chased, tackled...he did it all. Remnants of the 99 Braun we all loved!
3 - Embley - kicked 3 goals and should have had more, again got more than 20 disposals and provided a contest with 6 grabs. He is quickly becoming a star.
2 - Jakovich - kept leading all day, always working and providing a target. Kicked 2 goals and you cant ask for more than that out of a makeshift CHF. Seems Jako either plays well or plays ****e...cant find that happy medium (average game) :D
1 - Fletcher - ran all day and kicked a doosy of a goal to give us a sniff.

Apologies to Phil Matera who is THE best goal sneak in the country, no questions asked. Kicked 3 in the last to keep us in it. Gardiner again for been a 1 man rucking division. Sampi for kicking 3, 3 goals from a forward is all you can ask, he also kicked the most important one. Kerr and Chick for having 13 tackles between them when the rest of the team managed 25. Add Braun's 4 and you have 17 from those 3 alone and 21 from the rest of the team. Not good enough.

I spent the long weekend in Byron Bay and had to go to a pub with foxtel to watch the game. In the big screen they had the rugby league game and in one of the little ones they had the eagles and bulldogs.

With 2 minutes to go and 13 points behind I thought we were gone, we were ready to eave when the missus decided to go to the loo. When she came back she didn't believe we had draw the game, until she saw the replay of the Sampi goal.

Now that I'm back at home in Brissie, I can cast my votes:

5: Cousins
4: Fletcher
3: Embley
2. Matera
1. Sampi, mainly for his last goal.

I thought that the doggies deserved to win as they played the better footy overall, but I'm also happy that our guys didn't throw the towel and kept trying until the very end.

Next week will be our acid test, to reveal how advanced we are in our team rebuilding. The Lions, even without Voss and a few other of their top guns are still a force to be reckoned with. If we can do well against them, after the hardest road trip in AFL they we can give ourselves some chance.
