Umps gave them a 5 goal head start (with some help from us), then turned up again with 10 mins to go just to ensure we didn't get up

Poor 1st half was costly. Spent all our tickets getting back into it in the third and ran out of gas a little so couldn’t execute late…

I know the umps were rough and not pointing fingers, but it's like we're playing a few men down with some of our mids. Just irrelevant to the contest.

Newk and Nash were brilliant

Few decisions there that were disgraceful - fancy calling that last one a htb when it should of been htb the contest before

First quarter killed us - they were awful. Skills and disposals were awful

Misses in the last cost them badly

Arrrrgggghh we gave up too much and lacked the composure when it mattered.

Hardwick, Sicily, Bramble were awesome all day long.
Mitch Lewis - even when he didn't have the footy was doing awesome things. Seeing his development is an absolute treat.

Newcombe's second half was incredible.

Lewis a star, Jai is a growing star.

Impey is no the Impey of old, can't stay in the side.

Slow ball movement from the backline kills us and couple that with so many errors or putting the ball in bad position for the receiver and its defence causing so many turnovers. We need to be smarter with the ball.

Fantastic effort in the second half after a pretty poor first half. Can't fault it and excellent effort all round, especially for Jai, Sic & Lewis. Good comeback by big Ned too.

Only disappointment were these three muppets, but really, the issue is the overcomplex rule set implemented by the AFL, meaning that the interpretation of these rules change week to week, umpire to umpire:

Great to see Lewis, Newk, Nash and Reeves lifted us back into the match. 4 young players to build a team around.

Second last play of the day was ten times more holding the ball than Bruest. Horrible umpiring all day. The decisions overruled by the umpire 50 meters that were all completely wrong, including the one against Moore for taking out the legs. Stop calling sh!t that you can’t be 100% about. Nothing sh!ts the fans more

Good sides have to win these close ones. Find a way to win. We aren’t there yet but it’s a good learning experience for the lads. Disappointed but the fellas showed fight.
