I'm not surprised we have made no changes but still think we are missing a trick by not managing or resting players more. I do hope we don't make Dev start as sub again and look to use the sub a bit earlier this game. It's a long year and coming off a short break I think it's a bit foolish to risk players
i read earlier in the week that Kai had ankle soreness, is there anything in that, would anyone know
No point playing a tall as sub when you have Rayner who can play as a FF.I would like to see Dev get a full game with Gardiner as the sub.
Gardiner gives us cover at both ends of the ground in the event one of our key talls go down in- game.
If a mid happens to go down, we have sufficient options in the named team anyway
Kai has had a diabolically unfortunate run of injuries but I think he showed some good signs against the Hawks and is ready to launch. His foot pass to set up Charlie's third goal was sublime. Once Kai gets his timing and fitness back, there's no reason he can't get back to 2024 GF form.
My only fear going into this match is that we go in overconfident and take a win for granted.
We started poorly against the lowly Eagles in Round two and it took until the fourth quarter until we reeled them in.
We had a reasonably comfortable lead over North at half time then dropped our guard and were probably fortunate to get away with a valuable two points.
Even the game against Richmond, we had them totally at our mercy late in the third quarter before we got sloppy and let them get to within 5 goals at the final bell.
Our most convincing performances have been against genuine contenders so we know our best is THE best.
Of course, I'd like to see a big win against the Bombers tomorrow night but I would much prefer a consistent effort over four quarters with a comfortable final margin than a sketchy win where effort is turned on and off depending on how close they get to us.
