Another 4 points and move on... Not many consistent players all game except McCluggage. Our forward line had a poor game but we still kicked 90 points.

Bombers were a key defender away from a big upset. Thought they played really well in the last 3 quarters.

Red alarm on the midfields correlation with our performance. If they get beaten we are really in trouble - and while that may seem obvious we were good enough elsewhere to deal with it in previous years.

Scoring efficiency inside 50 is really down and bad and we got basically no pressure inside F50 in the second half. Eric can’t ruck long term, it’s too much of a waste.

Clug good, Noah pretty good, Bez and Bailey had moments and Logan should have kicked 5. Nice to see Kai kick a goal again.

Another game where we really just tried to cruise through the game and play lazy football.

The question to not rotate or rest players and try guys to bring in extra hunger looks questionable.

I know he kicked a settling goal, but Gardiner just doesn't work enough with our forward line. He's too similar to Morris (and Rayner) as more medium forwards. He also forces Hipwood into the ruck which kills his game time. We need a different combination up front.

Rayner I reckon is one of the biggest culprits for lazy effort. He was up and about in the first quarter and then just stopped. So many shots of him walking, jogging and not chasing. Still think he never had to do the hard yards and fear for his spot. The choice to never drop him has been a real factor in how we don't try hard enough against lesser teams

Not many positives again. Thought last week we might’ve turned a corner but it remains to be seen if that performance was a one off.

Hugh was bloody good and without him out there we lose that game. The other positive was Kai kicking a few goals again. Thought Bailey looked dangerous at times too.

As for the defence, I just hope Harris is pacing himself this year. We need him at his AA winning best come finals if we want to be a chance. Payne had a shocker after getting a preferable match up for him last week.

Also not overly keen on Allen in the offseason but I’m realistic to know we need to replace Joe badly, so whoever it is we need another big forward in.

It wouldn’t surprise me if we pull a performance out of our arse again next week. Such is life with this team right now.

We need to work out what to do when oppositions are bombing the ball on top of Andrews and Paynes' heads. Melbourne did it successfully and Essendon got close tonight. It is completely nullifying them.

McLuggage immense tonight. Deserves all the votes. Great to see Kai looking cool and composed in the second half.

Without a doubt the lowest point of the last 7 years. This essendon team is missing half of their players, and we barely scraped over the line against them. A real champion team should have won this by 100+. Games like this is why we're pretenders and won't accomplish anything this season. The north game, the melbourne game, the essendon game, the collingwood game. This one somehow tops the rest as being more embarrasing than the other. The only positive to be taken from tonight is that i don't have to watch this garbage anymore.

Margin wise, it was a comfortable win but anybody who saw the game would say it was anything but comfortable. The 1st term was terrific. Much of what followed wasn't. Hugh was outstanding.

Could be some contributing factors; the 5 day break being an obvious one. But there's been an obvious pattern this season. Hopefully we can keep banking and then come out firing after the bye like we did last year
