Yeah, it's almost like we're last and playing a top 5 side.

So many on here have unrealistic expectations and then lose their shit when it doesn't happen.

I was hoping we could keep it under 10 goals.
Ade will, and have beaten better sides than us at home by 11 goals.
Exactly this! Crowbots are 4th and we are 18th.
What do we expect? People lose their minds, some real baby tantrums on game thread.
Cats are 5th so we should expect much the same next week, injuries making it potentially worse. We might take it up to them somehow, but a win would be a miracle.
North a chance for a win, depending on who we have left?

Out: Flynn, Snake, Dewar/Cole if injured.
In: Jilliams, AReid, Allan first then Hall if both injured.

Unfortunate for Bailey to have to spend more time in the ruck considering he's going well forward. But Flynn wasn't good and you all know Reid is going to replace Waterman so Williams can have Flynns spot. Would like to see all 3 of them rucking and forwarding. Maybe a 50% 30% 20% ruck split to Bailey, Jack, Archer.

Didn't think Dewar was due a recall and have Cole being delisted or traded out so really just a bonus in my book if Allan and Hall can come in for some development. If Cole is fine then don't mind Hunt going out instead, but more likely just no change there if thats the case. I'd like another look at Hall in there tough, we're really struggling to rack up possession and he is at least good at that [if still young].

Changes
JWill - Waterman (Inj)
Allan - Dewar (Inj?)
Hall - Long

Was a decent effort but same issue we could see at the start of the year are still the issue.

I’d drop Hutchinson but they won’t so at least sub. I don’t get the love for this bloke atm. Has potential but should be learning his craft in the WAFL.

Ginbey is a waste where he is. Top 10 pick with all of his attributes just hiding away in the back pocket getting 10 disposal in his 3rd year.

Two smalls in a row kicking big hauls on us.

problem is Ginbey has flakey skill and lacks the agility to play elsewhere.
Hutchinson is quick and gets a kick which lifts him above quite a few.

Out: Cole (inj), Waterman (inj), Dewar (inj?)
In: Davis, JWilliams, Hall (if Dewar injured)

Move Hutch to Cole’s position on HBF and Davis to the wing.

Gross in the forward pocket is just tragic. He was one or our most exciting mids over a couple games and now gets 0 CBD's and subbed off.

Can't help feel McQualter is absolutely destroying the young midfielders confidence here. Real rough month for him.

OUT: Gross (no point if he's up forward), Hutchinson, Waterman
IN: Allan, Hall, Jilliams.

Dewar suits the "Gross forward role" more I reckon. Chuck him into the starting 22. Allan to sub, Hough wing.

OUT: Waterman (inj), Maric, Gross, Hutchinson
IN: J Williams, Bazzo, Hall, Dewar

Would also consider Shanahan for Edwards, but think that might be rough against Geelong.

Would like to persist with the Dewar wing role that was paying some nice dividends early. A dip in form, a spell in the WAFL, all good stuff, but he’s back now so get him back on that wing and let him run and carry like he did so well.

I'll preface my picks by stating that I'm not some immature 8 year old fanboi with Eagles player posters on my wall that I worship and dream about and occasionally use as a visual aid to help me get to sleep. That is 13 year old behaviour, not 8 year old obviously, and I haven't been 13 for at least 2 years now.
I'm like an adult, only less old, less mature, and with less understanding that an apostrophe isn't needed for a plural, but is needed in the context of possession (a word that our midfielder's wouldn't know anything about).

Some basic overarching principle's drive my team for next week, and every remaining week this season:
1. We need to win games by any means necessary
2. We need to play as many kids as possible. Only by playing at this level will they learn and improve.
3. Any kids who don't play well shouldn't be picked. High standard's must be maintained. We must play to win.
4. Any team we beat must have not tried and therefore any so-called achievements in that game don't count.

Ok so with that being said, my picks:
OUT: Us. Sorry, we're going to have to forfeit this game. There is no valid combination of players to meet my perfectly sensible criteria.
Sorry but that's the price we must pay for having standard's and not accepting shiteness.

I demand improvement.

Haha everyone that pissed and moaned about Mini not playing Gross want him dropped now
That's right..all melting for him to be played and huge debates over him being the sub,and playing the youth, like he was gonna be the next saviour (a la' Hall) and what happens next..not very much at all. I'm sure he'll develop into a very good player, but it all takes time...once more...it all takes time.

Out: waterman, dewar, gross, bwilliams

In: Williams, archer, hall, champion

We need champion as we need forwards and forward pressure.

Hutch survives, just. Long lucky. Gross needs game time.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Allan comes in. Geelong likely to rest older players (which to be fair is 50% of their list).

Yeah Dewar looked to have come down awkwardly on his ankle in a marking contest just outside D50. Might have just rolled it but didn’t take any further part.

Didn’t see Cole’s
Dewar stayed down a long time .
Davis comes in as sub .
If Kelly is injured it may give Champion a run .
Jwilliams or A reid for Waterman
Bo Allan for Cole

Interesting that in Mini's post match he was asked about Williams coming in to cover for Jake and his four goals in the WAFL last night. McQualter seemed to skim over it seemed keen to point out we have a few good options in in Williams, Reid and Shanahan.

Wouldn't be surprised if Shanahan or Reid replaces Waterman and not Williams.

Why are we all dumping Gross? We want him to play, he plays, we want him out again? Sure, he wasn't great but it's an overreaction after one game in a new position.

J Williams might lack the speed factor for a forward but still a good player.

That’s certainly going to cause a ruckus 🤭

Or maybe throwing a young bloke on for 10 minutes here, 15 minutes there and into different positions he doesn't normally play is not very good for his development. Either play him and give him a 5 or 6 game block in one role or send him back to the WAFL to play full time mid for a couple of months.

Or maybe let the coach do what he thinks is best for his development and see what the finished product is like.

In: Jack williams, Bo Allen
Out: Waterman, Cole

All i want to see is hutchinson and gross in the middle, put dewar on the wing
