Prediction Round 12, 2025: Changes vs Geelong

+1 for only one or two changes. Our team this week will be very inexperienced. Probably not the time to be replacing Duggan and Hunt with debutants.

Previously we were experimenting with Bailey Williams (Rds 3-6, 10-12) or Matt Flynn (Rds 2, 7-9. 10-12).

Archer Reid played every game to Rd 10 then hasn't been seen since. If we stick with the two ruck strategy does that hurt his chances of getting back in? Jack Williams also rucked a bit in his 6 games,

Big Boy Bailey doesn't deserve to be dropped. Does his bit up forward at least (and at last).

Oscar full time forward, which is the only position he should play.

I like BBW forward. He hits up at the ball at pace.

Problem is we have one proven forward who is out of form and playing back half the time, and a handful of unproven ones.

Bailey Williams as a forward in the wet.... What could go wrong....

If it is a wet game it's perfectly suited to moving Hutch forward and bringing in Hall.

Such a powerful athlete is Bailey , little clumsy but is providing a good presence in the forward line .

Maybe one of forwards can do that. No pressure.

So given that Archer Reid is really good below his knees, has great hands, good footy IQ, good decision making and decent field kick while at the same time not being a very good shot on goal, how come they haven't thought of switching him to the back line and putting Shannahan forward? Is it just me that thinks along these lines or others agree as well?

Wait on a minute,since when did A Reid and Shanahan overtake Jilliams in the pecking order as a key forward?

Because on exposed form they are not in front of Jilliams as far as im concerned.

I have liked Bailey since he came back in, but he was absolutely terrible on the weekend.

Would continuously clear and just kick it forward for a dumb shallow kicked that got intercepted rather than give the hand ball to Harley Hewett or Brockman.

It was just dumb football.

Given Geelongs unique approach to rucks, I don’t think we need the extra ruckman this week. Happy for either Archer or Jack to do the ruck work when Flynn needs a rest.

Personally I’d love to see Shanahan and Reid played together, but give we haven’t had a debutant announcement it’s more likely JW and AReid.
