According to Hodge he won’t go down that road because he feels like he’s let down the new guys like O’meara and Mitchell!Strange post.
Can't rebuild during the season. Can only play kids.
Took 2 picks inside 30 last year....isn't that the start of a rebuild?
Why the comments that Clarko doesn't want to rebuild?
They're both 26.According to Hodge he won’t go down that road because he feels like he’s let down the new guys like O’meara and Mitchell!
This. The greatest disservice to them now would be to prolong the rebuild any longer. They're both 26.
Look at Port and what they did in 2018 draft and look at them now.
We don't need to gut and rebuild. We're missing a few pieces, but can win one within 5 years. Mitchell and JOM would still be around.

Sounds easy in theory, but not all draft picks peak at the same time nor can they be first year gamers or instant impact players.This. If we end up with a good draft haul this year (say five picks inside the top 50) and nail those draft picks, things can certainly change pretty quickly without needing to go down a full rebuild path. It’s going to be more like a “mini clean out”.
Last years group is a great example of this. General consensus was that Day wouldn't play senior footy for a few years as his body was too slight, but Finn was AFL ready and a potential round 1 starter. Instead Day has played a bunch of games and is actually thriving, while Finn isn't even being spoken about as a debut chance among coaches reports.Sounds easy in theory, but not all draft picks peak at the same time nor can they be first year gamers or instant impact players.
Essentially picking blind though, after no championship games. Could work in our favour, but it could also go against us. Add in all the academy prospects as well.
Random fact. Tom Scully is ranked number 3 in the entire league this season for goal assists.
Please name the plenty of kids we are playing.
I'd expect that Gunston and Breust have been around long enough to provide that organisation and direction in the forward line. We have only played Nash and Morris, as youngsters, in the forward line any way.
In fairness to not only Scully, but any outside player we've used this year, our game plan of 'mark ball, go back, wait 20 seconds before bombing long down the line' doesn't really play into their hands.genuinely shocked. But just watching him play, fumbles a lot, not getting decent numbers, not really being that link man like last year. Just looks like a player devoid of confidence.
We have to get it firstHis about to take a record for marks. We will just bomb the ball long and he’ll pick it off.
The SA/WA/Tas players are still playing their local leagues ?
He’ll be the only bloke in our forward 50 we kick it tooMcGovern in. Great.

Do you think that they would rather be bottom four which is the ledge of the current team? They would be as excited for some new talent as the rest of us.and Wingard they didnt come to a rebuild
* yeah.Unleash the Finn!
10 intercept marks a lockMcGovern in. Great.
