Odds on he had that written on the back of his hand before the game so he didn't forget to say it

As he wrote it on his hand.

Nice to be back on the winner's list. An awkward and frustrating game, but thankfully we didn't seem to go back into our shell when things heated up. For a period, Melbourne seemed more concerned with hitting blokes than playing football, and in the end we were able to run away with it comfortably.

Good: Great team effort. Wilkie unstoppable. Hill back to good form. Windhager owned Pickett and got a tonne of the ball the other way. Clark and Butler show how important they are to the team. Keeler's breakout game as a forward.

Bad: Umpiring continues to be the biggest frustration - but hey, winning against 3 more just feels even better. Phillipou's early injury, no details yet but doesn't look great - hopefully nothing too major.

I’ve been a saints fan since around 2006, but I only got really into about it end of 2019. Then Covid hit and I got even more nutty about it.

In that time, the only team I had yet to see us beat was Melbourne. I bitterly remember losing to them by a handful of points at this ground in Alice 5 years ago.

It’s a bit silly and trivial, but I can finally tick it off and say I’ve seen us beat every team now, and what a lovely win today’s was.

Wilkie, windy, nas, butler, Keeler, Sinclair, Clark, hall, good games!

Have a great bye round, up the sainters

Callum Wilkie. That’s all

Pretty lucky one, they should have kicked a lot more goals but we'll take it!

  • loved Windy's job on Kosi
  • Steele important in the tough stuff
  • great to have Hunts back.
  • Caminiti can definitely be a defender
  • Marshall decent standing up to Gawn
  • Butler a couple of lucky ones coming back
  • Travaglia, Hall, Boxshall all showing signs here and there
  • No idea where Keeler's first quarter popped up from!

Shame about Mattaes's injury though, very disappointing.

Amended first post to include Hubs write up.

My post remains as why the frig not, that roll over function is hilarious.

My attempt that I was in the process of writing had "Dees CBF going to Darwin this time and gave up halfway" so must say, this was far more polite than mine so well done people.

On the game.

GAGF umps.
Well done lads.
EAD Dees, snipe more.

Terrible commentary hope Jordan Lewis gives himself an upper cut.

Windy Wilkie, Naz both super awesome.

Owens and Clark crucial

Stoaked for Keels. Amazing what some confidence can do. He looks completely difference and all the reason for patience for our youngsters. All it takes is one game for some confidence. Also unfortunately Sandy form is not indicative of how they’ll go at AFL level.

Really sad about Pou. Hope he’s ok.

Thought Cama had another ripper. Just leave him there for the next two years and I guarantee he’ll be knocking on All Aus.

Higgins did a lot even though he didn’t kick many. Same as coops.

Fingers crossed for Pou

Bring in the Vike.

Lastly, I was disappointed no one backed up Hugh in his little stouch and also when Johnson hit Naz. Really should have flown the flag imo.
