Not confident at all, watching Hawthorn control 4 quarters of football against us was very damning. We barely gave a yelp and the pressure they put us under will only be magnified by the Tigers.

Our game plan is the absolute pits, and maybe the wet weather might help as it might force us to play more direct and less possession footy, but who knows. I expect Richmond will get inside our guys heads early, and for the rest of the game perceived pressure rather than real pressure will see us play some terrible footy.

They're also going to be extremely motivated to play well and win away from home, to smash this away from the MCG theory, so I just can't see our guys getting it done.

I dont want to go jinxing my team but Richmond actually perform better in wet weather due to our game plan relying on bringing the ball to ground and not contested marking but with the wet weather the ball spends more time on the ground and marking is made more difficult.

We like contested footy too. We were supposed to play a similar brand of football as you do, actually. This season, however, as we try to improve our F50 entries, we have been struggling offensively. So far, we are:
- not pressuring as low as we should;
- allowing the opposition to settle and/or to pressure us right after we win contests;
- unable to use possession football as a way to open defenses up.

I mean, this is true, except for third quarters (or for Q1 last week). For some reason, we only look as the team we should be for no more than one quarter per game.

That’s different to the table .. subtract the differentials and you get plus 4.5 for port.

Either way you guys were carrying on that you will lose the free kick count this week but not against Richmond you won’t .

Wont be a lot of rain, but it will be slippery as the dew will make the ball greasy and from Thursday's rain leaving the ground a little bit wet and soft. Wear long sprigged boots you slackers!!

So if we kick at 50-52% efficiency and Richmond at AFL average of 64% we will lose.

Lets hope we can kick at 64% and Richmond around what we do or less and not at 75%.

I used to ******* hate Richmond but I've grown on them in recent times, especially after they destroyed the Crers in last year's grand final and I really like the way they play. Their overwhelming pressure as a team and ability to score big reminds me of the game-plan we were trying to get right in 2017, I admire them for getting it right, yet we are a bloody long way off that one now. If we try our slow chippy style of play against them we are going to get reamed. I hope Hinkley rolls the dice and gets the boys playing a more attacking, taking-the-game-on kind of style, because at least then if we lose it will look like we tried and won't be as ugly as having to watch our chip-kicks get intercepted all night. Don't have much faith for that though.
