It's funny, Acres and co play in the midfield at Sandy and do better than Armo there... But when they move to Afl they aren't midfielders, but Armo is because he was played there years ago.

So the question is... How do you become an AFL midfielder if you are never played in the midfield?

It's a bit like those entry level positions that need 10 years experience.
When does acres play in the midfield at sandy.

Very well said. Self fulfilling prophecy to say Acres isn't a mid when he never gets a go to show that he was and is in fact a mid...

Easy to see he isn’t a true mid by watching him play. I can’t believe some can’t see it. It’s like saying plugger should have played permanent ruck. Could do it but wasn’t good at it compared to his best position. Easy to see even if you have limited afl knowledge

Since we are trying to win the game, we brought in our best available midfielder to replace our inside midfielder who got injured. Why is that something to be criticised? He has been performing fine at Sandy recently so is fit and ready to go. Unfortunately he is our only option to replace an inside midfielder. It's not some inside ploy for Richo to get his love child a game. It's just the scenario we are in.

It would also be an issue if we brought in another half back flanker to replace Steele like you have suggested since we would be running short on midfield rotations.

And the myth of Acres continues to grow with him now being called our most creative player. A bit of a stretch there. And who said he won't play more through the midfield this week - he has been named on the wing which is his best position. Bringing in Coffield or Paton with Acres playing more midfield time would mean one them them would be placed at half-forward, where they haven't played this year, which would also be a criticism for the coaches setting them up to fail.
Acres can play on ball. He was just about leading our bnf for the first 8 rounds of last year playing predominantly as a midfielder. Ok you tell me who makes more happen with each touch than Acres. Gresh maybe? Long the one quarter in every 5 games that he does well in? Seriously we have a 190cm midfielder with insane core strength that can break tackles and hit targets and we don't play him in the middle. Mind boggling.

Played mainly wing. Long isn’t even playing. Yes I agree acres will have a bigger impact than long and gresh will have a bigger impact than acres as a true mid.

This is a pivotal game for the club as the whole and the coach.

It's pretty simple this week, to quote Yabby "In every game you come to a crossroad, and when you get to that crossroad, you either step up or you step down."

It's about time our players and coach step up, no excuses. This is a must win.

Caro mentioned a couple of weeks back that Richo has started to "fall back into his old ways". I'm not a fan of her but the evidence from the past couple of weeks is that there may well be something to what she's saying. The players are playing without structure, composure or control. Frankly, it's a mess to watch at the moment.

The bye came at a great time for us. Let's hope the club used the time wisely to reset and get us back to playing the way we were at the start of the year from the first bounce of the JLT.

If we lose, I fear the wheels may well fall off.
Oh and your claim to fame?
