Got to give him a go though, go hard when he does something wrong but he's going better than most at the moment.

With the news of Hanners and King to play 2s again. Carlisle to be in there. APPARENTLY WEBSTER MIGHT BE TO..

In- Acres, Marsh, McKenzie, Hind, White and Webster/Armo.

Out- JOYCE, LONG, Coffield, Geary, Dunstan, Young.

You'd seriously drop Dunstan?

Do you even watch our games and know what football is??!!

SMH

We sit 16th in the league for contested possessions, ahead of Hawthorn and the Dogs. Stuv is out, Ross is a receiver rather then ball winner which leaves Gresh and Steele as our main contested footy winners.

Gresh averages 10.5 CP’s a game, Steele 10. Dunstan averages 12.6. Now stats don’t mean everything but despite your clear disliking of him you can’t question why he is in the side. It’s obvious. Yes Dunny has limitations but until we have better options on ball he will be in the team.

Dunstan is our best option atm so is a automatic pick in the 22 until we can find someone better and the guy could even get better with consistent game time.
We will see where we sit after the next few games with Hannebery pushing his claims in a couple weeks also with the developing Hunter Clark.
Things are looking better.

I have been critical of Dunstan in the past but since he has returned from the VFL this time he has been very very good. He and Steele are the only 2 mids who dont pannick with the ball in hand. They are happy to be tackled draw the opponents creating space for their team mates and then give off. Ross could learn from them rather than flipping the pressure to someone else.

My preferred team:

B: Marsh, Brown, McKenzie
HB: Savage, Wilkie, White
C: Sinclair, Steele, Acres
HF: Parker, Battle, Billings
F: Long, Bruce, Membrey

Foll: Marshall, Gresham, Ross
Int: Dunstan, Coffield, Clark, Hind

Out: Geary (inj), Joyce, Young, Phillips, Newnes, Kent
In: White, McKenzie, Hind, Acres, Marsh, Clark

What I suspect we'll see:

B: Marsh, Brown, McKenzie
HB: Savage, Wilkie, Battle
C: Newnes, Steele, Billings
HF: Kent, Bruce, Gresham
F: Parker, Membrey, Long

Foll: Marshall, Ross, Dunstan
Int: Acres, Sinclair, Phillips, Paton

Out: Geary (inj), Young, Joyce, Coffield
In: Acres, Marsh, Paton, McKenzie

We seriously need to get Kent out of the team. He has played one good game out of eleven and has no excuses. Newnes started the year okay but has been deplorable for the last five games. We need to be getting games into Coffield and Clark even if they are not in peak form - these guys should be our future and they're not getting anything out of playing at Sandringham. We should have played Hind in round one to see what he can do as well. He may be a player that shines at a higher standard and his strengths would be so valuable in our team. Time to move Battle forward as well. We need three tall forward targets and Battle is probably the most talented forward on our list except for King. Injury permitting our tall forwards in a few years should be King, Battle and Membrey.

Hes had 2 good games out of 11. Might hold off on the praise just yet.
Does Dunny owe you and Cooperg money or something?

Come on own up man! What has he done to the Cooperites that brings this level of sustained character assassination?
Starting to reach Mark Chapman proportions! Do we need an armed guard outside the Dunny for protection?

Isn’t Kent leading score involvements for our squad though? Something like that. He’s been s**t but they won’t drop him... God knows we need all the scores we can get.

Coff needs to stay for a string of games. Clark should get the same.

Drop Newnes, Long and Young and swap Joyce for Marsh.

Here’s my team

FB: B. Paton/D. Mackenzie/S. Savage
HB: J. Battle/J. Webster/C. Wilkie
C: J. Newes/J. Steele/ J. Billings
HF: M. Parker/ J. Bruce/ D. Kent
FF: B. Long/T. Membery/ J. Gresham
Fol: S. Ross/L. Dustan/R. Marshall
Bch: H. Clark/ N. Coffield/ N. Brown/ J. Sinclair
Emer: J. Marsh/R. Young/ N. Hind/ B. White

Ins: B. Paton, DMAC, JWEB, H. Clark
Outs: J. Geary, R. Young, E. Phillips, D. Joyce

JWEB and DMAC come ins as walk up starts. Geary injured and Joyce killed by Sam Gray, who isn’t even in Ports best 22.
Clark should have played over Phillips last week anyway.
Young two really disappointing weeks, Paton playing some really good footy couldn’t leave him out.

Not sure if your taking the p155 or what , those Two walk up starts , well there is why we are such an average team if they are walk up starts , they are both GOP at best and wouldnt get a run with too many decent sides in the comp, I doubt those forwards can kick a winning score , thats IMO

8th in the competition for Goal Assists. 3rd at the club for score involvements - behind Ross and Membrey. 2nd at club for shots on goal.

Obviously it would be great if he could kick straight but if we started dropping players who miss shots on goal, we wouldn't be able to field a full team. We are at the stage where we need as many shots on goal as possible and Kent is good at that and setting up his teammates in scoring positions.

You don't think Webster is a walk up start right now if fit?
